So anyone got a clue to what Diamond, Club and Spade interactions are? I know Heart is more towards love and lust.
Like how some games with multiple choice paths where 2 types of taking cum in the mouth should be different paths but seems like swallowing and sharing leads to dom instead of splitting into sub and dom, i understand if she swallows and act sluty but she still tells Jean that he could get one himself in the future sounds like a +1 dom while the other option to make him swallow his own cum is +2 dom.
Even the option to shoot cum on her face don't seems submissive as she has an attitude that say otherwise.

This game doesn't track stats like that. I think Necro mentioned that this would lead to too many possible routes, more than they could handle with a two people team.
But you are right that Catherine was definitelly the dom on that scene. :devilish:

I wonder what's the endgame with our favorite

Marriage? Futa enabled babies?
Both? Catherine did mentioned to Briala that she could get her pregnant using the futa potion. Luckly Cat was using protection (magical i guess).:p
Plus likely murdering some goons here and there.

Hi. I ran into a few issues while playing the release for win ch4 and ch5. For ch4, I can run it on an Win8 system, but not on my Win 10 Surface; for ch5, I can run it on none of the two.

The issue I experienced was upon starting, the unity splash screen would appear, fade and the "logo" would appear. There's only the background image, no starting options or options at all. Since I didn't find a starting options setup, I tried running with compatibility mode/admin permission, and the issue persists. I'm not fluent in Unity so I cannot trouble shoot it myself further than this. Thanks for the good work!

Played the new run, will likely give it another go or two just to make sure I didn't miss anything and check it from a different style or viewpoint, but very much a lot of fun.

The new bodyguard was a great deal of fun with a personality that nicely balanced the art of snark with a warrior eyeing the potential of timelessness with a surprsingly level head. Brash, but tempered. I enjoyed her being essentially the portal or window to the viewpoint of some of the self proclaimed 'higher' beings, and the upper rulings of the court besides. Yes, Kyo counts, but she's more of a master spellcaster and spymaster besides-- which is a very different vibe.

Couple nitpicks on those topics while I'm thinking about it, though:

Said bodyguard has a pretty emphatic sticking point of refusing to leave Cath's side, even in the evening hours. If we are playing a salacious Cath that measures handshakes and handjobs in the same level of reference, it seems strange that Cath didn't simply offer for the mocha skinned delight to warm her sheets and whatever other enticing bits may happen to be in the general vacinty *while* doing the enthusiastic guarding bit.

Also, nice cock bro!

Also also, is this Seraphim one of the first true hermaphodic style characters out there (which would be interesting and open up potential new braches of futa potion research and development), or is it more of the either/or variant down below? Enjoying the character design greatly. Regarding the size and walking fun comment-- first off, Catherine is an absolute size queen and would just go 'challenge accepted', and second-- she's a bloody wizard. Cast a spell for elastacity or something, geez.

I know it would be absolutely impossible, but it sure would be nice to occasionaly have some art to go with the glorious word combat porn we get now and then for the battles. The Lena/Seraphim at their best fighting the absolute worst was pretty great.

On the topic of grand character designs-- our half orc bard. What a delightful bundle of weird. Only complaint regarding her is she wasn't packing something more significant down below, but that's not everybodies tastes, and hey, abs for *days*. A fun option that in her single minded pursuit of hero worship and learning the *literal* ins and outs of Catherine's wants and semi heroic ways she could become something of a strumpet in training, unitentionally. A Bard's gotta bard, right? Or just keep her light and semi fluffy, but I know for a absolute certainty that dress code for a bar in my Catherines care would be on the lighter side-- for all workers and patrons involved, regardless of speicies or gender.

Kyo: Her gift aside, which I'll stick in a spoiler mention just on the off chance somebody stumbles on this one, struck me as a slightly weird conversation. Reason being, I absolutely went out of my way to have Cath and Kyo find a measure of respect and lust between them in the conclusion of the last 'episode'-- so when Catherine is being standofish behaviour wise to Kyo showing up at her doorstep-- while a wary Catherine is indeed a measured and learned approach especially regarding her mentor, this also felt like the 'typical' Catherine, and not at all showing the heated affection from actions prior. Like plot flags not being used at all, or forgotten.

In my head, the proper reaction to Cath openning the door and the two meeting eachother again so soon after their evening tryst would be accidently forgetting whatever the hell they *wanted* to say in the first place, getting briefly tounge tied, very hot and bothered and likely needing a change of panties. Assuming either of them are wearing such things in the first place, anyway. Then resuming the flow of conversation more or less as usual.

She even makes a point to mention that this is the first time that Kyo has ever come to her doorstep, or at least very, very seldom like, and it is painfully obvious that Kyo is *trying* to do better and reach out, in her way. So Catherine not picking up on this behaviour, much less brazenly pointing it out to see what effect it would make-- stirring the pot, so to speak-- doesn't make much sense. Furthermore, this version of Catherine has already willlingly decided to forgo the song and dance and risk it for the biscuit-- forgiving Kyo rather than taking advantage of her our using her as a outlet for pent up frustration.

Which is a whole *lot* of colorful words and jargon being use when I should just go with: How come the two of them aren't immediately pinning eachother to the wall and fucking like rabbits for round two or three or four or five? The attraction and fire should still be burning hot, not down down to a dull ember. Maybe. This is a random strangers on the opinion in the vast interwebs, so there's that.

Ranty spoiler about the gift below:

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Honestly, I could have just gone with 'everything is awesome' (and play the proper song alongside it) regarding this chapter, short or no. It was nice seeing Victor again, looking forward to shagging/being shagged by the vampire wife because there is no way that isn't a thing, enjoyed the whole merchant angle, looking for the catman's sister, and eventually being a Catherine sandwhich between the brother and sister, because there is no way that is *also* not a thing.

..It does feel like the game designers may run into a very real risk of too many characters and not enough time and/or energy to divide amongst them, though. Off the top of my head we didn't see anything nor a mention of tentacle gal, the dwarf quest handler, the brothel matron, or our pink apprentice. ..Actually if that's the only ones that didn't show, that's still pretty impressive given the chunks of lore and plot being released at the same time.

Looking for confirmation: With a potential cheat, we can still do all the stories and plot lines with characters *without* being locked or gated out of content? Is this a actual thing or was I interpreting it incorrectly?

Love the story, love the effort, stay health and happy out there!

Being as nebulous as possible to avoid spoiling anything
There are some who clearly feel that a gift offered by Kyo to Catherine was inappropriate or might prove to be part of a bad plot device.
Catherine does get the option to attempt to reject the gift and to question Kyo's motives and Kyo gives a fairly thorough explanation.
As such I'm completely happy that the game/story designers are doing this with deliberate intent and I'm just curious to see where it leads.

As for the rest of chapter 5 ... all thoroughly enjoyable.
There was one bit of storyline I wanted to go another way but I have no idea if it was a result of some of my earlier decisions and I'll just have to wait to see what happens.

Just to point out that Yda was mentioned in this chapter. She simply can't go meeting the emperor and a bunch of seraphim because of being a celaphon and on the enemy side until recently. It wouldn't be prudent, specially with Asariel being a bloodthirsty bitch according to Kyo.

Kyo: Her gift aside, which I'll stick in a spoiler mention just on the off chance somebody stumbles on this one, struck me as a slightly weird conversation. It didn't bothered me. Catherine wasn't combative or sarcastic when meeting Kyo and her older master did mentioned she was trying to do better. In my mind that was a mostly normal conversation between two people who were already starting to making amends with their past.
And besides it was Kyo who teached Catherine to be such a perverted woman, doubt they would go all wet after meeting again simply because they kissed and fucked themselves into making peace some time before.

Also while Kyo is trying to be a better person to Catherine, that doesn't mean she will stop being a "sadistic bitch" to other people who rightfully deserve it.
Specially to a piece of shit like Jean who did everything whithin his power to make Catherine's live hard and tried to enslave and later kill her. Also lets not forget Jean tried to use his family's name to get into Kyo's bed.

So while Cat may have won the affection of Kyo the little shit noble gets the stick.:LOL:

Oh, I absolutely agree a certain so and so has earned pretty much everything they have coming, all that and more. A good job on the writers to instill such a solid, emotional cord with it, I think.

A new dev blog post is up. :)

057 - Dev Blog
Hello, hello! It’s time for a post-release Dev Blog!

First of all, we hope you all enjoyed playing Chapter 5. We had a lot of fun making that chapter and we can’t wait to bring you even more content! That said, we have been expanding the story and the mechanics without stopping for more than a year now and the game finds itself in desperate need of some maintenance.

So, this week Vane is going to be focusing on squashing a few bugs that have crept their way into the game over the many updates and never got fixed. He will also investigate a few other issues that have been reported but that he couldn’t quite reproduce on his end. And he might kidnap Banshee if the fixes need a bit more of art, otherwise, Banshee will start working on art needed for the tavern management system (which basically entails many interface screens, and a different tavern background with many variants)! She's probably not going to finish it in one go, as that will take quite some time to finish, and we don't like leaving you guys without lewds for too long!

Now thank you all so very much for your support! We’ve been working on this game for a little over a year now and it’s all thanks to all of your generous support. We wouldn’t be able to be doing without all of you, so to our long time patrons, and the ones joining just now, thank you so very much! We love you! <3

But that wraps it up for this release dev blog! Stay safe out there, and don’t forget to get lots of sleep and drink plenty of water! We’ll see you all next week for another dev blog. Until then,
Big love, the Necro Bunny team!!!

That problem can only mean one thing, the game doesen't have permission to read/write the save files. The usual fix is to run the game as administrator.

I have started and stopped a few times now, trying to express just how much I love this game. But nevermind that it's 8am on a monday and I spend almost all night catching up - and thus feel pretty brain dead now - I also doubt that anybody really cares for a long-winded, rambling essay on how this VN gets the "RPGs and fantasy-settings need likeable characters to be engaging and captivating in the first place" mantra much more than most recent big studio RPGs do.
So I will keep it (relatively) short and say: I love the RotWF, and my favourite psycho-elf getting that love route already has me smiling like an utter lunatic.
Thanks for that and all your work! Love it to bits, bytes and pieces!

(... now I just need to figure out why I suddenly feel a need to listen to Killing Joke's Love Like Blood? Hm... )
Thank you so much! :giggle:
We're really glad to hear that you enjoyed the game so much! And our favorite murder elf too of course. :sneaky:

I wonder what's the endgame with our favorite

I... Actually don't know the suits off the top of my head...

But... It's pink for flirty/romance, blue is friendly, gold is neutral, and black is aggressive. The optins might not always fall neatly into those categories but they are what I use as reference when deciding what type of card it should be.

You make some good points. Concerning Kyo and Catherine I did check the states and I feel like the route where Catherine had forgiven Kyo was much more mellow, but that is off the top of my head and I might be wrong. Still, I'll take a look at it and certaintly will keep it in mind going forward!

And yes, I intend on making a cheat that allows you to do all romances at once and not get locked out of anything.

PS. Thanks again and thanks for being invested enough to constructively review what gameplayers think
Subsequent edit - wave byebye sounds potentially dismissive - the wave is to the NPC in question of course

Does that mean the romance routes won't affect the story much?

Sounds like they won't affect the ending either or that would be really messy to program.

Although it's only going to end with people crying for a harem ending so i'm not putting too much into the romance stuff. If the devs themselves are making a cheat to keep them open then it doesn't sound like anything super important.

They can't be tied into the story because all of them open would be a clusterfuck, endings would be a mess and conversations are going to be weird so I think it's safe to assume the romance routes is just side content with no actual impact on anything.

I mean... If you romance Lena she holds your hand during a quest... That's super impactful I think!

All jokes aside, romances won't affect the general dialogue that much, but they will affect the sex scenes a lot. Also there will be special scenes that you can only acess when in a romance route. Lena is a bit of a special case which is why she is getting her route early, but the other characters will still take a while to get their routes. And the cheat is merely for the convenience not because romances are going to be an afterthought.

The art made it look like such a happy game full of love and the care the developers poured into it. If i'd known you were also planning on adding that level of debauchery I would have avoided it to save the purity of my soul.
Fufufu! You've fallen for our trap!
