I mean, the mc should be around 18, or so various origins implyconsidering in both the male protag looks like some snotty teen rather than an adult... either way its lol cringe (kind of feel bad for trish there, getting pegged by a de-aged 'hero' who looks like he's either having an anal virgin moment face (old version) or in his emo phase but doesnt have the outfit for it (new version))
That's exactly what many are doing right now, so this was unnecessary. And art is a matter of taste. What's ugly for some might be to others' liking, and vice versa. This AI uproar confuses me. I get that the "expressiveness" of the scenes has changed, but how focused y'all are on the art changes is... weird. If you don't like it, play an old version or replace the assets with the old ones.
Again, matter of taste. Art is subjective regardless if its for a porn game or any form whatsoever. AI imagery on the other hand is a tricky subject to touch upon, mainly since it involves ethics and arguments regarding its process and ownership. Also, people who hate on AI art and "artists" don't make sense.
Fair. The art was done for the game. The artist likely has no further say in the pieces already used in the game as they are likely property of the game maker, now. Likely it was part of the agreement that they'd be able to edit whatever art was received if desired or necessary, including cropping to fit, etc.
It doesn't need to be, but it can be someone else's favorite game. Sure most of the people here aren't financially supporting the game, but to pass judgement to the those disappointed with the supposed final update of the game when it was promised to fix (or at least mitigate) bugs from the previous version is off-putting. Mind you these are the same folks who invested their time into the game, be they a supporter or not, because they might have found the story and/or art to be appealing. The weirdos review-bombing really need to go outside. This isn't some artefact or piece of history that needs to be preserved. Dev made a decision to go in a different direction with some of the art. If you don't like it, don't play it. Y'all act like customers who got a bad product when most of you probably aren't even supporting the game financially.
Yeah I completed every part and got the class. Guess she's gone. Fuck this "Gold Patch". What an absolute joke. You have completed the quest in its entirety? If so, she should return to your party. If you still have some steps left, she would be standing near chapel.
If you did everything and she is just nowhere to be seen, than this is a bug.
Good to know you haven't ignored tons of non-AI-related critical comments that highlight low-quality of the Gold Edition, which in turn suggests that "devs've chosen the different path" in reality is just devs cutting corners while failing to deliver their promises. Which kinda justify review bombing and all the negative attention devs got, given how they failed to do their job at developing the game. This AI uproar confuses me. I'm playing version 6.1, Dicktacles still work, but (I think) it gets nerfed. I've cleared novos, deep forest, ornesse, and summeredge, my rulwe is nowhere as strong as yours.Oh, I just abuse Rulwe on Dicktacles of Growth that you can find in lesbo mom-daughter house in Slinsk.
Lo and behold - Rulwe, the Murderfucker of Worlds:

I still haven't got to Novos, but he already deals 600 damage with Warrior's Mark that turns his attack into line-AoE. He one-shots everything. Even bosses. Evem DoT effects fail to deal with him.
He can't be reasoned with, he can't be bargained with, he doesn't feel fear, or remorse, or shame. And he absolutely will not stop, ever, until he fucks everything.
...and per version 6.1 Dicktacles seem to not work. So I stick to 6.0A to grow him stronger still and switch saves to 6.1 when I encounter an unpassable bug.
honestly the AI art replacement isn't what I hate about this "Gold" edition. It's the obvious lack of care that went into revision and playtesting. The 5.8 version is magnitudes more stable and bug free, and it's biggest complaint was the bugs it had. It's like Kal was alley-ooping himself to filter feed bug fixes on Patreon for another year on Roundscape.Yeah I completed every part and got the class. Guess she's gone. Fuck this "Gold Patch". In my attempts of moving saves from 6.0A to 6.1 I've founds that Rulwe seems to have a cap on how strong he can grow. He was somewhere around 900+ hp when I've tried it first, and at that point winning battles no longer grown his stats. So I stick to 6.0A just to see how ridiculous I can get him.I'm playing version 6.1, Dicktacles still work, but (I think) it gets nerfed. Precisely well said. Most AI pics in Rounscape are bad, but tolerably bad, spare for a few nice or horrendous examples. Complete lack of care, however, is anything but tolerable. Sadly, AI here seems to be a symptom of this lack of care rather than a genuine feature.honestly the AI art replacement isn't what I hate about this "Gold" edition. I like the changes to combat and UI. I like the new origin idea/slight changes to story. I love the idea of passing over the game and polishing its art. Instead, the combat/leveling is broken, the origin is barebones and the changes broke continuity, and the art is hit or miss, with GrandPaBrowning showing us on here both examples of really good changes, and some that look like the vagina and the dick fused into a macabre, Cronenberg renditions of the original.
It seems like Kal did 1/3 of each of these things, instead of fully doing/committing to any of them.
Another good point. There is nothing bad in using AI, but AI as it is now struggles to deliver quality product. Easy and intuitive remedy would be hiring an artist who would work on AI-generated image to relieve it from defects. Besides, if AI-image would receive such polishing, artist could bring their own touch, which would greatly help. Especially in departments such as general style (AI-images tend to be very repetive), facial expressions and body language (AI has very poor grasp of emotions, tends to make every character doll-like).So you're telling me one of the most popular lewd games ever, with a ridiculous amount of revenue, can't afford to hire artists to touch up the "AI-enhanced" images, and instead just throws them in with all sorts of anatomical and stylistic and continuity mistakes? geee what a surprise, totally didn't expect it
Fucking disgrace. All they had to do was pay artists to ensure the AI filter stuff wouldn't look off, there's a LOT of artists perfectly willing to work with AI as long as they're being paid for their work like they would otherwise, but these mfs just took the cheapest approach possible
I suspect they might have started with the idea of having artists touch up the AI stuff, realized that artists would (rightly) charge as much for their work on editing these pictures as if they were working on stuff from scratch, and very quickly decided that they'd rather keep hoarding money instead at the cost of quality, especially since having artists fix things would have taken longer than just getting the bare minimum from Stable Diffusion, and the sooner they put out any given update, the sooner they get more money. It's not the first project I've seen in the past year where this has happened.Another good point. There is nothing bad in using AI, but AI as it is now struggles to deliver quality product. I even suspect that some scenes were done in this way. Three better scenes I've found is Succubus/Dog, Hero/elven priestess and Tyshtira/Dykesprings girls. In case of latter two and especially the last I strongly suspect there was a living touch, but I can't figure it out concretely.
Sadly, I lean to the same conclusion. There is hardly a way they didn't have enough money and there is hardly a way they didn't have another option but using AI as is.I suspect they might have started with the idea of having artists touch up the AI stuff, realized that artists would (rightly) charge as much for their work on editing these pictures as if they were working on stuff from scratch, and very quickly decided that they'd rather keep hoarding money instead at the cost of quality, especially since having artists fix things would have taken longer than just getting the bare minimum from Stable Diffusion, and the sooner they put out any given update, the sooner they get more money. I genuinely really want this game to succeed, but exactly, Occam's Razor friend. The conclusion that requires the fewest assumptions is usually the winner, and all signs point to "I couldn't be assed to spending more money, so we put it through the meat grinder for cheap. Have you 'Gold Edition' ya losers. Sub on Patreon as I iron out these bugs over the next year or two."Sadly, I lean to the same conclusion. There is hardly a way they didn't have enough money and there is hardly a way they didn't have another option but using AI as is.
So, yeah, if it walks like greed, flies like greed and quaks like greed, its likely to be greed. And would like to be wrong on this one.
