Yes, that ice cream exactly was available in Soviet Russia in 80s. It was called эскимо (eskimo), slightly more expensive ice cream than our usual пломбир в вафельных стаканчиках (cream ice cream in waffle glasses). Moreover, in modern Russia there's the same ice cream with the same name for people who still remember that eskimo.
Funny thing, in France "esquimau" (pronounced "eskimo") is how they call that kind of ice lolly too.

Well, it means we used French word. It was not the first time though, there are many French words in Russian language, in XVIII-XIX centuries it was the language of nobles in Russian Empire after all.

Yes, Russian has a lot of words borrowed from other languages (French, German, Dutch, Turkish)-from the many folks with whom Russians have had contact.
But eskimo is not a French word. In 1921, Christian Kent Nelson, an American of Danish descent, doused a briquette of ice cream with chocolate icing. He called it an "Eskimo pie". (Named after the Eskimo peoples who lived in Alaska.) And the word Eskimo etymologically derives from the Innu-aimun word "ayaskimew" meaning "a person who laces a snowshoe".

Poland on board. It is/was called eskimos (not sure if they still sell them). We had 2 versions, "naked", and covered with something that one could call chocolate ;):ROFLMAO:

Man, i love this thread. Not only I could look forward to a wonderful game, also got to learn some extra culture in Russia. Seriously though. its always nice to get to know something different about a country from somewhere outside of typical western style media. :)

Yes. Most of the soviet ice lolly was pole or truncated cone form. And it's more suitable for porn game. :) But it's model that i could find at this moment. Maybe it will be changed in release.
Or may be it will be cucumber and moonshine.:D

In Soviet Russia:
What do you do at the bus stop in winter when the bus is gone for a long time?
Men drink beer, children eat ice cream.

actually, the ice lolly/cream shown in the picture was pretty similar as ones in China during 80s and 90s.

The kid on the right, that ice lolly, in my memory, it had fruit flavour on the outside as a 'bowl', then filled with milk cream on the inside. You could use a little wooden spoon to eat the filling first, then eat the fruity part later. I don't know if the actual product in Russia is similar or not, but that's what I got when i was a small kid back in the late 90s.

That reminds me of "1984." They were rationed something they could call chocolate too :KEK:
And I've been told by my elders that in the first years of the dictatorship they ate "chocolate" that tasted like cardboard or something similar.
Today we get upset if the cocoa % is not to our liking, or if it was not produced in a sustainable way :HideThePain:

ErosAmor69 since nobody has pointed it out (unless I missed it), RSSU, when one reads it backwards stands for USSR. I am sure it is pure coincidence ... otherwise I would say it is brilliant:sneaky:
Said that, if your game is meant to be x-rated anthology of USSR I am sold... all in...

Yes, it's sort of Easter Egg or the riddle. For attentive players.

I have excuse, as living in the part of the eastern block I expected CCCP.

I really enjoy this one, it's so different from what you usually read! Apart from the decision (which I respect but I would prefer it otherwise) of hiding the genitals, I really have no complaints.
