We can't please everyone, we're glad you liked the art & writing though! I'd say a lot of the stuff you didn't like comes down to the kind of game we wanted to make, and the tone we wanted to set. Different strokes for different folks I suppose
I'll be honest, I'm surprised it wasn't pirated. We released the first version of this back in December! Day 3 is mostly for wrapping up the plot, not loads of porn in this one. So far most of the nsfw stuff has been in the epilogues we're making now.
Hard to say. This build contains all of the endings except for one, but no epilogues. We're currently releasing epilogues to our patrons and they'll be coming out publicly over the next few months. Our plan is to continue to release epilogues while we do the early groundwork on our next project, so that when the time comes we can switch straight from releasing Sanguine Rose builds into releasing builds of our new game. I'd like to say we'll be done in about 3 months.
Usually MFF. There's one MMF scene if you send Crow to the tavern to whore herself out. Roman (MC) isn't involved in that scene though, and it only happens if you choose to make it happen. There's also a MFFFF scene in one of the epilogues.

Carmen Valentine's just....a spectacular character. I too thought some of the choices in this games are funneled, is there a chance we'll see her in a future game from the dev? The art in general and of Valentine the Whoreductress are amazing.
With more time and resources we could have expanded on this, but sort of yeah. From the get go the plan Roman wants to take, the original mission, has already failed. The employer isn't coming to collect. Day 3 is about deciding what's most important to you and making the best of a bad situation. You want power? Join Carmen, she'll give you all the power you could ever want but you're stuck serving her. You want freedom? Leave. In one the endings it's implied that the team do very well for themselves by working together, and Roman lives happily with Crow. You want to spite Carmen, regardless of what it takes? There's one more ending.
We're a small team, so we did revise down elements of the story once we realised our limitations, but overall this is what we wanted to do. As I said before, different strokes for different folks. There's a lot of games where choices are simply good or bad, and we wanted to make something where it's not so obvious what the best move to make is, or where there isn't a 'best' option at all. Some people really like that, some people don't.
Our next project is a more traditional power fantasy in some regards, since we wanted to do something lighter and less grounded in reality. You might enjoy that more.
Thanks! This is one thing we would have liked to have done, if we were a bigger team. The different paths explode through the first day, and even into the start of the second day, until I had to start consolidating them back down again or else the game would never be done, so there is some funnelling at points. Me (Hallows) and Duski (the artist) have talked about returning to Sanguine Rose at some point in the future, so we might see more of Carmen. We are planning on her making an 'almost' cameo appearance in our next project though. Not exactly Carmen, but someone similar in a few ways.
Then at least give an option to slit her throat before leaving, sounds like the most common sense thing to do to erase your crime. Carmen does not sound like a kind person whom will forget a slight, never mind making a fool of her and kidnapping her from her troops. It sends a wrong message to her enemies. A message that she is weak. So Carmen is bound to send an equally strong reply. She will hunt you to the end of the earth. How hard it is for four armed persons to enter her dungeon at the same time and slit her throat? Or at the very least, barricade the building before leaving and set it on fire. That way , at the very least , evidence of what you did becomes ash.
Roman and Co travel North, back into Greater Hirane, the region which Carmen and her armies are at war with. She's going to have her hands full for a long time, and in no position to track down some random mercenaries. Carmen isn't even bothered by them though, her attention is focused on the person who hired them. At least, so long as they don't spite her it is. Trying to kill her poses a much higher immediate risk to the mercenaries. Glasha could be talked into it, but Crow isn't a fighter and Markus isn't dumb enough to approach Carmen with a knife. Could they kill her? Probably. Would they do it without injury? Almost definitely not.
As for why they don't set the watchhouse on fire themselves, they're in enemy territory (or close enough) and a giant pyre is going to attract soldiers. That's not going to help them. I could make this more obvious in the text.

Tbh I would've done it when she was "held captive" trying to play mind games in the basement lol Watching her still talk shit while she bled out slow would've been very entertaining.

Three's plenty of snow and a lot of forest area around... wouldn't be too hard to make Carmen's body disappear. I guess it is to imply that the 4 party members are not intelligent/cunning enough to pull it off maybe ?

having no big sex scene for each epilogue makes it feel kinda empty. i guess such will be added with the next updates so i advise for those who have not played yet to wait for them. or become a patreon

Are all the epilogues out already on your patreon? I see that you have released 3 epilogues. Is that it or do you plan on releasing any more? I ask because I want to play the game when it is completed.

hmmm, strang game i gotta say. the manipulation doesn't really work out that well and crow got so easily "brainwashed" it's not really realistic. the thing is that ya, as the MC, don't have too many options how to act and react to situations making it a bit linear and... predictable of the outcome (e.g. when you want crow not to visit carmen anymore the MC doesn't handle the situation as i would), but i guess that's just a typical downside for being a visual novel. gotta admit though, the art is nicely done!
for people searching for the quick good end (dunno if it's the best end, but it's a pretty good end i guess): be friendly with carmen but don't get sexual with her. let ash do tavern job and let her rest, markus shouldn't visit carmen if it's avoidable and crow should be watching carmen as often as possible. last but not least, let carmen corrupt crow and make her yours. you will get the option to leave everything behind and take your teammates with ya, use that option.

I love it.
The writing is great the characters are awesome and the art is outstanding. I get a bit jealous when I see art like that, i'm not very creative like that and don't have an artistic bone in my body. I'd love to be able to draw like that but I do enjoy seeing other peoples work.
It's one of those games i'd love to see a few spin offs from or like on of those fan disks the big Japanese VN's sometimes get.
I'd love a Crow and Roman after story or to hear how Roman and Glasha met. I'd love for Carmen to have more stories but I don't know if that would lessen the badassery about her. The problem with a character that good is you need an antagonist just as good and that would be hard. It worked perfectly here because she didn't have any interest in killing any of the people that captured her, she wanted who hired them so was content to play games. In her own tales you'd want something more proactive but she'd chew up anyone not on her level and then we'd be stuck in a Dragonball Z "aha but that's not even my final form, I can be stronger" ... "but wait, I can get even stronger" and then the world explodes.
I know something bigger was planned originally but personally I think the smaller scope worked far better than something longer would have.
All characters got to shine without overstaying their welcome and it tied up nicely.

You think the most violent member of the group and part of a race full of horny fuckers would let someone live that tried to corrupt them?Please tell me there's sex scenes/corruption with Glasha. You can't have that sexy orc in the game and nothing for her
It works for Crow, she has a submissive personality. As much as some games would try and convince you otherwise, women like Glasha don't get corrupted, they get drunk and break the neck of the person annoying them.
Or the short version which is no.
I think there is a scene where she fucks someone but no corruption.
