Also switched game to VN, so no free roam and progression, and removed most of art.Did he (dev) removed battle fuck system, and added a half cooked card battle system or something? Is that all?
That is what I was thinking, a group of fans could take the legacy version and build their own game, following the direction that the game should take. As the Anal-only Ambassador, it would be a shame if this game gets thrown away to the trash by its own developer.now we need hero to make his own version of saria and see how dev die from butthurt
He didn't bite more than he could chew. He was keeping up with the premise of the game. His work output was actually impressive in comparison with all the scams you see in this place. Nothing in the development process indicated that he was out of his league, all he had to do was keep working and there would be a finished, quality project at the end. He didn't bit more than he could chew, he just simply gave up on chewing. The usual way this happens is like how the Karryn's Prison dev gave up halfway through development: just start half-assing your game and pretend those features that are totally not setup in the game were never meant to be implemented anyway, and your game dies a slow death, so slow it almost looks like it's alive. This guy, being the impulsive, immature, edgelord that he is just speed ran the process and went straight to the implosion and burn all bridges approach. At least there's entertainment value this way, i have to give him that.I knew from the get-go he was biting off more than he could chew, he had some great ideas and the original direction of the game was great and he had great foundation to build on but it was just too much so he probably gave up and was like "I just wanna actually finish this game" instead of working on it for 2+ years for a real 5-star game.
When that happens you're supposed to make a minimal viable product and compartmentalize all your new ideas for the next project. It's fairer to your backers and more efficient.I mean, we've only seen this pattern a billion times. "I've remade huge chunks of the game so it should be smooth sailing from here". Few months later, "i've remade huge chunks of the game so it should be smooth sailing from here", repeat till player and developer interest in the game is completely dead. I don't blame them though, I understand the desire to perfect. It's just sad that realistically, it's a sign that it won't work out for almost every single one that goes through this process.
v0.16
I remade the game from scratch![]()
Technically it's an alpha then.people pestering about a beta that change direction WHICH IS VERY MUCH what a beta is about.![]()
He really is one of those people that just tries to copy whatever they're playing right now or chase a trend. They do look pretty similar
