The original one wasn't really his fault as his partner disappeared on him mid-development; which lead to Vel wanting to be the one in control and not be forced to rely on others when it comes to making games.

A lot happened the last few updates. The TLDR of it all is VIL wanted to do something less problem ( general update and bug fix) inducing and didn't really consult anyone, so the community dunked on him and now he's mad we don't like it. From what I've seen, it's not a very good VN either, but enough people like the art he puts in it, so they accept it but don't like it.
And this is after a purge of reviews that were basically just hate mail from disgruntled former fans.

He seems to have move on to a different game (not on this site AFAIK, but on his itch.io page), with a first release in April, with little else since then. Though I'm not going to his discord to check if anything is posted there but his twitter, itch.io, patreon, exc have all been dead since then.

is "cancelled". He's currently working on a fourth game that sounds like it'll be another RPGVN which, unless more details have been mentioned in his Discord, doesn't even have a name yet. All we have is his word that it's being made.Interestingly enough on July 24th, 16 days after the linked F95 post was made, was when Cogito Line was cancelled.
