It seems like there are some hints of that, in the obsession scenes the common theme is that she's trying to have sex with the MC and will switch depending on which of those gets her that (in one scene she's saying she's a bitch and he's her master, in another she's jumping on him and pinning him down to have sex with him). Maybe the love route will keep that option for roleplay but with less of the unhinged yandere aspect.Will there be male domination? cuz i kinda get potential maledom vibe from the description...
Im not a very big fan of femdom, so yea im really hoping for some maledom.

As for the sandbox claim, it's not really a sandbox, it's just one menu, you don't go to various locations trying to find the next scene. That menu just serves as a way to feel like you're building a relationship. You get to talk to her, ask her on dates, hug her, give her love, etc. I don't know if that really satisfies the sandbox tag.
There's going to be both really. Depending on the choices you make, your character will start being more comfortable giving her orders and taking control. But it's a yandere, so there's obviously going to be some unavoidable femdom scenes where she takes control. btw i tried the game(although in fear, bc the last yandere i saw on a screen was Gasai Yuno from Mirai Nikki and she is scary as hell) but i liked it, i hope Sakura will get better or learn why she is so adamant on living with MC xD
