It should be pretty clear by now that the sister exists solely to cockblock and insult the MC, and to be dangled in front of subs like a carrot on a stick.

Well I dunno... games insists on renaming my character "None" checked the save file and it has the correct name but loading and playing the game gives me "none" for a name... anyone have a solution for this?

Not wotrth it. Nintendo went so far as to create NEW patents for most vague game mechanics possible, months AFTER Palworld was released.
And then used those patents to DMCA Palworld, and WON.

Better safe than sorry, as they say.

AFAIK they did not actually 'win'. They just threatened to lock up pocketpair in endless frivolous lawsuits and motions until they run out of money. Big companies LOVE abusing the legal system like that to prevent competition, and no non-conglomerate has the ability to face a conglomerate in that kind of contest. Nintendo doesn't WANT a judge to actually rule on the matter. They just want to use the threat of legal costs to suppress competition.
It's why EVERY time someone tries to take a company to court, the company suddenly becomes interested in settling instead of letting a judge make a decision. Because they then don't risk having the decision go against them. If it looks like they can't get away with endless motions and delaying tactics any further, they start desperately pushing to settle out of court. They use the threats of legal costs to force people they are trying to suppress to settle out of court, usually in agreement to not continue whatever they took issue with initially.

It would be AMAZING if the patent offices would, you know, actually EXAMINE the patents before approving them, but also run them by an educated individual to sanity check them before approving them. Would go a LONG way toward getting rid of oppressive patent abuse and trolls.

Rooted? You can add an rpy to enable console or add an rpy to hook something, say the "say" text and have it set money to 99999 each time anyone says something, wait until you interact with someone and save, then exit and remove the patch file. You can also use something like Titanium Backup (if rooted) and backup your "data" which might be where this Ren'Py stores saves on Android (some duplicate the saves into another folder such as Documents to persist even after APK removal at which you'd just edit that after removing the APK and then reinstall the APK).

Enable console, set the name there with mcname="NAME". (Warning: If you don't save you'll need to do it again. If you rollback you'll "undo" the set on whichever frame you set it on. In short, load, set it, talk to someone to make sure it's changed, then save if you're happy in a NEW slot to be safe.)

Did that and got an error: Name is not defined... crazy stuff

And how do you open the developer console? On the PC (Windows). Unfortunately, I have no idea about that.

Learn a little about Ren'Py (what it is, how to open, etc) and especially about how to re-enable a developer console disabled by devs.

Okay, seems I was missing the quotes "" ... got it to call MC by the name chosen...however now I notice that Sylvia is ccalled 'None" instead of Mom by the MC

This game is terrible.................Its very simplisticly slow as if its written by a very slow sloth for other slow sloths. There is so many page delays that force you to wait and wait and wait and ..............wait.

And then the entire concept of slavery is just wrong. Its more like a slow harem build with not funny jokes.

Basicaly this game is not for me. Slaves should do as they are told, or if they dont, there needs to be a path to train them to do so. These slaves have mouths on them and they tell the master what to do. Meh, thats just lame. Sorry Dev, I know you are making something of your own desires here, but its just not my style. Best of luck to you.
