Patreon keep all conversations they have to by law
So if you get banned because he chooses the pay up front which Patreon allow you can contact them and get your money back
If enough of his Patreons do he will get his Patreon pulled

VNorth has given patrons the chance to get their hands on what would normally be a $20 exclusive, in return they simply have to not share/leak the game. VNorth isn't doing shit except giving people a fucking sweet enticement. It's the patrons you should get mad at if anything for choosing not to share... But lets face it, who can blame them. Those Shantrel anims are gonna be fucking hot.

According to posts here hes using Patreons Option to take up front money and make people wait till next month thus renewing to get the update that has already been issued to others at release date
For all intensive purposes missing an update as they joined after this months release
Which is within Patreons rules but is also refundable if they get banned for complaining about not recieving this months update
Setting the options > protecting his "intellectual" property are his right but banning people for asking for this months already released update goes against Patreon policy

Ahh yeah I can see how this would piss someone off. Although he did warn that this would be the case beforehand...
I'm just seeing a lot of people getting really mad because patrons are choosing to not share so they can get some free stuff, thereby stopping them from getting their free fix... ¬_¬

I've been trying unsuccessfully to convince VNorth to turn on upfront payment...

I said than I heard about the game, pledged and he did not want to deliver the game because he did not want to change his payment form. For me it was a bit frustrating but ok. What was a bit special was to be banned when everything said between us was polite.

You are 100% right in a way. Still, does this justify that a pledger should be pressured ? It is not a complete game my friend. Let's take a simple example : music. It's the most lucrative industry in the world, even before porn. Every one on here and across the world has downloaded at least one pirated album once in his life. I only listen to metal, alternative rock and grunch. Still, I like some raps and techno. Why? Because, either some friends recommended me some titles or I did hear them while watching a film, driving and listening to the radio or waiting in the metro for my train. Doesn't this count like piracy ? What I'm trying to tell you is that ONLY the form changes, the substance is the same and it applies to everything that's available on the net. May be you won't agree with my point and it's your right, but I perfectly know what I'm talking about. Peace

And Voila! Told you guys a few pages back something fishy is going on. Lol why would we blame the patreons?
If a dictator forbids his people to watch american tv (because whatever...they say he is a dictator) and that anyone caught watching will go to prison, is it the peoples fault they are afraid and don't watch? Or is the dictator paranoid and out of his mind?
It's an extreme analogy. But this is the case here. He's blackmailing his own supporters lol. It a slap in the face for them not for the pirates here. Be it today be it next week the game WILL be posted here or elsewhere.

Not only that but he also banned users who pledged 20$ or 10$ after the beginning of the month asking for a download link. He explains than he set his page to receive payments only at the beginning of the month and not any other way and if you tell him, even very politely, than you just discovered his game and you do not want to wait, he bans you from his Patreon page. As easy than that.
