He did go down easy, but it's because the MC's speech hit him hard. Knowing that the MC used to wish he was dead, etc. John is a major dick, but that doesn't mean he doesn't care about the MC or girls. So again, just hearing how much everyone hates him and how he's basically alone was a wake-up call because nobody has had the balls to call him out until now.

Same here. The requirement to the last scene with Coral is 6 relationship points or more. The foundation, eyeliner and lipstick options gives 1 point each. You got the required points without the lipstick.

Depends on the words. Typically the words with some form of action do it. There are very few scenarios where words alone would do it.
People's who uses words aimlessly and doesn't has value behind it are generally useless.
