I have a question for the creators. Don't you ever get the feeling that your game could've been much more successful had it not been an H-game? Besides all the possible ways to market and spread normal games?

So what is diff from newest 4.01 and the previous release 3.13?
I did download 3.13 just hadn't played it.

Started a new game. First time playing it actually.

Edit : Issue got solved. I downloaded from a different link(Used GoFile first, then now downloaded using workUpload) and extracted the contents using 7zip. Not getting the error.

More succesful, maybe. Better, certainly not. The best stories/games will always come from people who follow their artistic vision, not those who want to create "succesful" media and approach the creative process like a PR department condensed in one person - that's why we have a billion shitty YA novels being churned out and endorsed as New York times best sellers nowadays!

In fact, Seeds of Chaos easily has better writing than Baldur's Gate 3 in my opinion, (BG3 has some amateurishly bad writing in parts, especially in the way it handles evil alignment characters like Minthara or true soul Nere) and I'm pretty certain it would only be dragged down and feel more commercial and soulless of an artistic product if they removed all the erotica from it... In fact, could you even call it "Seeds of Chaos" anymore if all the 18+ content was removed, with how central it was to the main plot between Rowan, Jezera, Andras and Alexia?

Of course, but i am considering a particular crossroad. I'm aware that NSFW games often face less stringent scrutiny when it comes to quality assessment, unlike their 'indie' normal counterparts. Perhaps for the same reason some furry artists make 6 figures on Patreon, while artists working in more traditional genres struggle to achieve the same results.

I don't want to put the cart before the horse, however, I am keen to avoid limiting my work's potential after months of dedicated writing and planning due to a lapse in judgment on my part. Besides, i believe both paths could align with the central idea of SoC potentially with few adjustments.

Also, adopting a pragmatic approach, doesn't have to make a soulless game, in fact i would wager that ignoring your market makes a much worse game. Certainly not to the extent of a PR department, but to gauge the demand for your work, will enable you to make discerning choices that strike a balance between your artistic vision and your followers financial support.

I guess it all boils down to a coin toss

You essentially get a better map, actual side quests on the map (wow) with rewards.
New army rebalance is kinda weird but that might just be my SoC boomer brain having Stockholm with the way it's been the past forever.

How do I access the side quests on the map? Im walking directly over the tiles the <<!>> is on but I think because I've already been over them the event isn't triggering?

I haven't played through in awhile and I haven't dug into all the choices you make and impacts they have on that but based on commentary from others and what I saw a large chunk of the city is gonna go up in flames no matter what. You have some control over what parts and I think can make a difference in just how much but it is always gonna burn.

At this point i think the game would have been far better if it was a VN, with some "semi-sandbox" moments like in being a dik, the game is progressing too slowly, and the sandbox part is just basically map moving with a lot of RNG, it's not an interesting part of the game at all.

I think that any dev should know the limit of what can be done with what he have, the project is a little bit too ambitious, and this will not lead to a good ending unfortunatly.

Agree with semi sandbox, probably sandbox in castle room and management with some occasions explore will do good and speed up without missed anything since first act was more than enough rpg action ig.

So, still no content for conquering anything on the mainland outside the small continent Rastedel is on, right?

If we are to assume there are 5 more provinces and/or countries on the mainland that are as big as Rastedel's realm, (we already know about the empire of sand, the drow lands where the drow queen Jezera killed was from and a couple other places from side missions, plus that the continent itself is called "The six realms"...) that means, at the current pace, if the devs were all 20 at the time they started working on this project 7 years ago, and assuming all the other realms do get finished in 7 years, (as the current one wasn't, at least not on the goblin path) that would mean this game will be finished by 2058/2059, when those fornerly 20 year-old devs would've reached a ripe young age of 62 or 63!

Can somebody please tell them to focus on what matters, mainly progressing the story and main questline? They are dilligent devs that put out updates relatively often, but I feel that the plot always progresses at a crawling pace! I wouldn't even mind updates that have no new erotic content whatsoever, just so we eventually get to part 2 and see the rest of Solanse and the empire of the Twins (or of one twin we choose to side with) rise! It's really frustrating and it'd be such a shame for this game, with such beautiful plot and atmosphere and deep interesting characters like Jezera, Cliohna, Shaya, Andras and several others, to never be finished!

It'd be nice if they stopped expanding the cast any further or doing any fan service with erotic scenes for a while, (as there's plenty of hot ones already for many tastes, including purist femdomphiles like myself who won't enjoy anything else, and I'm sure they'd manage to weave at least a couple sex scenes into the main plot...) or scrapping whatever else the devs think eats up most of their time and just focused on advancing the main plot, at least for a couple updates! As I said, it'd be a real shame for this gem of a game to get abandoned, so hopefully the devs will read my maths from 2 paragraphs above and do something to keep the game's scope more manageable and still get to tell their story in this lifetime!

Nah, do you forgot about fae event? If they're emissary then ... Won't they have impact on story bc they've stay at castle as guest.
You might've been right about other characters already have enough porn H scene (example : our goblin merchant) but there's other who barely have anything too well, idk how much fae event been updated but i can count it's 3-4 update they got included latest and even female fae (don't remember name) have like 1-2 i think while other male fae compare to our blacksmith have much gaps content currently (maybe not in future).

I think it's better than speed up and wait 3-5 months bc coding new code from act 1 brance which haven't finished as fae or other goblin route and delay our act 2 on cliffhanger.
At least while do h scene, they actually do and give patreon their perk about scene aka poll power and try updated not much attention like male fae (whitescar)
Go and find game list for me that have speed up and not lack content then I'll believe your vision.

You will always lose roughly half the city. This is a consequence of the Baron killing himself combined the civil war that had being brewing under the surface. Essentially the Baron choosing to throw himself out the window wasn't something anyone could have predicted and thus there is no way to stop it.

But your choices do effect which sections of the city are lost and which citizens survive. The noble district, the merchants, the ghetto, etc. Which may have an effect on the city going forward.

Have you seen arrival_of_the_emmisiaries event (should happen in week 25)? heartsong_first_visit event (where you first have something sexual with Heartsong) depends on it and happens randomly.

Right click and "Save link as..." (or smth like that depending on your browser).

(You can also copy file content (it's a plain text file), create an empty txt-file in /game folder, paste the content there and rename the file to ~whatever~.rpy.)
