Is there a free for all option after you beat the game once, where you don't have to worry about the stupid turns, or the annoying fiend story, and just play for fun?
Missed out on the vast majority of recruitable commanders because the stupid monster army killed them all.

IIRC he ALWAYS dies if his unit is wiped. So don't let his unit get wiped, lol. It's like that in the base game at least, no idea about the mod.

i'm just gonna wait for a cheat table for dai sengoku
I'm not 100% on this, but from my usage of Cheat Engine with this game, I noticed that *every* instance of the game (meaning opening the game or loading a dave) changed all the values, making it rng.
I had to change things on the fly as I found them.

That said, once I figured out how to do that I could alter enough things to make it pretty simple combat wise.
Money, National Power, Rance Level, Oni Bones. Oh and on second play throughs, the points to apply to start with stuff.
Everything else was too much work to be worth trying to identify. The Oni Bones was the biggest game changer.

The NG+ options don't show for me despite having points. I've only chosen the option where Rance immediately gets killed by Nobu, though, not the one where you wait later or fight with the army. Is that the reason? I still got the points for the Game Over. Do I need to go through the whole ending?

I believe you dont get NG+ until you actually *win* the game. I'm not completely sure though, as there are a lot of finnicky things with this game.
