There are a couple of times where female characters on your side can get raped but for the most part its Rance (main character) fucking other girls
Most of it is avoidable but some scenes are canon like yukihime
I haven't played this in such a long time, I forgot that the game just auto conquers most of the map for you after you've been fighting the monster army for a while. Kind of bums me out honestly.

I said this in an earlier post (and I'd broadly refer you to that one for a rough early game strategy), but generally you want to be focusing on getting good commanders rather than just hiring more troops for bad commanders. Getting Rance's satisfaction up (ie, fuck women and click the satisfaction bonus event when you have ten SAT) for foreign reinforcements is very good and doesn't rely on conquering specific provinces. Zeth's 2nd reinforcement is the best unit in the game imho, and you can get her pretty early on. Just make sure you have enough points to support the new units, the event won't show up unless you have space.
The game is hard though, and there's no shame in restarting. Alicesoft is big on bullshit hidden knowledge checks, so once you know what you're doing the early difficulties are a breeze, but getting past that knowledge hurdle is a pain.

He's actually pretty tame in the newer games. In IIRC rance 2, for example, he dresses up as bird to rape the girl he was dating only to then change back, get the girl to dump bird, and then swoop in and "save" her.

TRY NOT TO TAKE TENSHISM to get SEIGAN
TOKUGAWA for SENHIME
By this point you should still have some gourds left. You can go for either mouri or houjou here to get some more commanders. But DO NOT engage Takeda until you have the manpower, and Do not go to war with either of the above unless they're your only enemy
