since the game is abandoned, is it allowed to ask about other games similar to it (visually) in this thread?

I know that this style is Koikatsu (?) and there are a lot of games like that, but somehow the ones I checked out didn't appeal to me that much

This game is essentially a clone of the vastly more popular lessons in love

Kinda, but, and I think I've said this before somewhere else, if it had continued, we'd be talking about SO clones instead of LiL ones, since LiL is VERY unique, and SO is a bit more open for cloning, if you could say that.

Really? Which ones did you check?

I checked Lessons in Love and yeah, this is a game that I liked visually, I played it once, I'll probably come back

can you suggest a few more titles?

LiL tends to be actively hostile to the players, so kudos to you.
I'd say Dissonance and Sorrow of Rebirth, though, speaking in kinda known terms, they're only starting its second "reset" and barely past its first one respectively.
I'd also recommend Lost in You but (considering you mentioned the visual aspect) for some reason I feel it has a sameface issue, dunno why, which is weird considering what my previous recommendations were and the fact that all of them use Koikatsu, which lends to itself sameface in general.

they all look promising, especially Dissonance, but I know those games have a painful grind, so at least they have worthwhile "rewards"?

For Dissonance, IIRC, you have only actually done stuff (not all the way in some cases) with 4 characters, and only 2 of them have repeatable events. For Sorrow of Rebirth, also IIRC, you've only done it with one of the girls, and have a repeatable event with her too.

Dissonance has a linear mode but there aren't many sex scene (which is fine in my books since I really like the character writing).

I've played most the decently known LiL inspired games and I think dissonance is the best followed by Lost in You.

Okay, I've gone through this game 3 times, And I get to the very end of chapter 1, I pretty sure i played all prompts or decisions And save it go back and play the other choices with the same result. I get thrown back to the main page to either start or load game page, It also not updating several side characters. So everything from four teen girls and their teacher travel to Okakri & Comforting Entropy don't save. I feel like I'm playing the original Spyro in which there was a glitch in the game if you did not complete the last mega on the first shot you could not finish the game period. So if somebody out there can help this Broken Man please through some wisdom my way. Thank You for any help.

Nah, there IS justice in this world. It means no more game (and no more Mori...), but there IS justice.

Jesus fucking Christ and all that's holy... And here I hoped to check up on this game's progress since the last version I played was v0.7.0... The whiplash my neck suffered upon physically reacting after reading why this game got abandoned and how much of a POS the dev is IRL... Holy shit...

I know it is important to distance the author/artist/game dev from their creation because having that boundary gives us a cathartic approach to better understand and appreciate most forms of art and expression... but being a game dev myself, priding myself upon pouring my heart and soul into my own game, and seeing all this... shit... it just leaves a very, very bad taste in the mouth, to the point that I even feel dirty wanting to check up on this game's progress just a few minutes ago.

I mean just looking at the front page's game description and the game's tags with the context we now know about the dev... :HideThePain: God damn.

I'd also insist on the separation of author and work, but considering how, in retrospective, some scenes seem to have had certain "inspirations", it's really fucking hard.
