I only get the problem in the main game, not the valentine one.
But I managed to solve the problem by adding a folder named Talia in the pictures folder (The problem is solved now, even though I just added an empty folder named talia in the pictures folder

I mean, in my vday special, Talia is there.
In the regular game v1.1, Talia hasn't been put in yet.

So, if he's getting an error that Talia isn't there, I am not sure how he can generate it...

I think the problem was just that the game had code that tried to open the talia images even though they haven't been added yet.
Am I the only one who gets this error message when opening the game without having added an empty folder named thalia? I would be really confused if that would be the case

Ima download it from mega and see what seems to be the problem. But, this is just really weird, as I haven't had the time to add Talia and Sylph to the main game. I kinda made a snap decision to add both of them to the valentine's day build because I needed to fill my chocolate box.

I haven't touched the main game in a while because of things I explained in the op (basically, I am working on v2.0 right now because it's just easier to recode the entire game than to work with scrappy code.)

It's hard for me to imagine that it would have Talia code when the last time I worked on this game, I hadn't even considered adding Talia in.

I can't replicate your bug. I downloaded a fresh mega version, and failed to duplicate the bug from it, so I can't really do anything about this.

Thank you for taking a look at it. I must have made a mistake without realizing it then. Weirdly enough, when I tried extracting the game in another folder it just worked, so maybe it didn't like me extracting it in the same subfolder as the valentine version . I am sorry for causing you trouble with a problem I must have somehow caused.

Please report bugs you encounter when you encounter them. I have a pretty good handle on my code, however games are complex bits of software, so you never know when something like that can sneak in.

And no need to feel sorry. I'm happy to have a look if someone is having an issue. If I can solve it, I'll do it as soon as it's possible.

More about this:
I've adopted an alpha-beta-early access-public access model.

The alphas are going to be rather quick updates where I will not bother to fix oblivious issues. When in alpha, I am adding content, so there will be multiple alpha updates before the game goes to beta.

Once I've done the polishing stuff, we will go onto beta phase. There will be only one beta build (at least that is the plan), but there might be multiple fixes, depending if there are a lot of bugs or not.

By the time the game goes to early access, it should be fully finished, bugfixed and all that, well at least in theory, anyway.

Then, I'll make my public release as always, and will upload it here for you guys.


If you have questions, comments, criticism, please feel free to let it all out. Humm, as for insults, please tack a bit of constructive criticism to those so I have at least some idea of why you're insulting me and can figure out how to improve.

Well. I've just been made aware that selling games using KK assets can get me sued, so I've made all of my stuff free. As a result, I will now be relying strictly on patreon income to support myself.

It stings a little, not going to lie. Guess in hindsight I am glad that I just shifted over to a more patreon-heavy approach.

Honey Select? It is also made by Illusion. From what I understand, if I attempt to sell games that use HS assets, I have a chance of getting sued as well. And steam will not accept games like that.

I've found what I want to do tho. For the time being, I will simply make my KK games f2p, and I'll make future games using Daz while I learn to use blender.

Once I get to a reasonable blender mastery, I will switch to that.

As the game is now in beta, I will be focusing on fixing any bugs that may be in it. By default, in 7 days, it will go to early access, unless I encounter too many bugs (so on the 6th of march). The game will then become available for free for everyone on the 13th of match.
