I'm not trying to be mean here, and yes I know often when people say that they say something mean afterwards, but this is my observation. Disclaimer I'm using he/him because that's the generic English form, if you consider the MC a girl then replace it with her in your head, don't need people going crazy over an adult forum porn post.
His character is usually just motivated by sex either pussy or dick or both. It's an adult game no surprises there, not on the same level as a nukige, where that's the sole focus though. The only character from him I see are what the other characters force upon him. Which is fine in this style of game, forced femme, which usually means other characters force them into it, then they're like oh I liked it all along, fine whatever that's the style, but I don't see him as having any substance of his own, any motivations of his own. Unless you consider just getting by a motivation, I don't it's survival it's just an instinct.
Unless you consider him not living in the slums as a motivation, that seems to be the only consistent thing across all routes. It seems obvious again because he'd rather become a sissy slave than leave and go back to the ghetto. One could argue he's rediscovering himself, so his character is changing, that's a fair argument. I would say though that the only driving factor is other people not himself which imo makes him more like a blob. An amorphous being that just fits whatever vessel it's put into. Although I assume the confusion over his character is intentional I mean with the disconnecting nature of the dream reinforcement the character undergoes, he has no choice to be left in a state of confusion. He's forced to become a slave and even in his dreams, his dream self is telling him not to be a negative bitch.
I'll be honest though, what's keeping me hooked and into the story and will keep playing isn't the routes, I don't really like the majority of those people who have routes I'm sure that puts me in the vast minority and that's okay, that's not a statement against you as the creator, I don't believe creators should try to please everyone, you have a niche and either people like it or don't. Saying those characters don't appeal to me is my opinon, they don't have to, Liam is alright but that's about the only route I'll pick. What's keeping me is only waiting for the opportunity to

You're hung up too much on this Fourthwall thing... as some people don't like excessive info dumping, the author used that idea to give the more detailed story which is just to give the -player- (not the character, which of course knows those things by, you know, living in that world) that wants it a more detailed background. Note that's not essential to enjoy the story because you pretty much get the gist of it by various dialogues around. And what you get by not-Fourthwall is enough to understand Blake's actions.
Thus, I actually find the psychological progression of Blake pretty understandable and realistic -it might not be what you in that situation would have done (and that, it's not a given, remember that Blake lives in a very stratified society where it is a fact of life that he is the low and Melinda is the high -and he knows it), but it totally makes sense and I don't find it forced or lazy. He has a level of resistance at the beginning (more or less of it, depending on your first choices), but he's basically a survivor, adapting to the situation and discovering a side of himself he didn't realise.
Different people care about different things. I would say we have to agree to disagree. Again as I've said many times it's just my opinion. If you personally think those things are inconsequential that is your opinion. 4th wall breaks have always and probably will always be that way for me especially in novels, visual novels, chyoa, etc. where your supposed to be immersed as the character, again it's my problem, I'm just saying it and offering an alternative. If it's not a problem for you then it's not a problem for you.

That is literally Blake's whole character arc. In the slums life was always just about surviving, and once out of them and settled in the city the question of what to actually aim for in life comes up.

True. Also it is a total lie that Blake is only motivated by sex. Not even when Blake is a total butt slut sex will be his only motivation. Even less so in the non bimbo route.
Blake is looking to what he wants to do or should do while the "civilization" around him colapses. There are even already hints about this in the latest episode when the questions about Blake's future started appearing.

It's pretty easy to bake your own HDRI to get the environment you want. Probably not something you want to do so far into the game, but something to think about for whatever project you choose to do next.That’s because it’s an HDRI picture of Shanghai

I’m about 85% sure that I’m not gonna make another game after Shattered. But we’ll see.

I've been having a hard time getting into it. The new guide is way better than the old one, but even so the different branching and crossing paths have got so complicated.I’m about 85% sure that I’m not gonna make another game after Shattered. But we’ll see.

Well, that’s sort of the main selling point of visual novels, right? But I do plan on converging some of the branches eventually. And if you need save files for specific routes, just ask!

I just installed v0.12 and now my saves don't load, it just gives me an error and starts the game from the beginning...
Sorry, I didn't know you had to refresh this site to see notifications.
A screenshot doesn't show the full error, hopefully the traceback.txt is good though.
