Just a lore question since I don't remember the answer to it.

Does losing to a Demon's charm eventually kill you? I'm aware that the moment sexual fluids are exchanged with one, they bassicaly create a 'Contract' in which you become their 'thrall' (CoughcumbucketCough) for well, eternity I guess.

Ignoring the cases of them just flat out eating you/turning you into an baby bunny that dies within 3 days/ mindwipe you into thinking you were their lover all along/ outright erase all your memories til you remember nothing but pleasure/ putting a parasite inside you that will dominate your mind/ forcing the two of you to fuse into some sort of plant lamp and all the other fucked up stuff some particular demons do.

How do humans die to them? Do they just not feed their thralls so they inevitably die of dehydration/exhuastion what have you? Or is the victim just destined to die the moment their soul is taken from them? I'm pretty confident that being the victim of a 'Contract' is a bad thing as even some survival notes do mention that some people (like one soldier irrc) would rather die fighting than end up in such a fate (Except like one person who regretted pissing off a Barghest who gave it a fatal blow).

That and well, there wouldn't be ruined cities if these monsters only thought of sex as courting for partners a la monster girl guest whatchamacallit. So yeah, something must be real fucked up about these contracts, right? Tell me if I'm wrong.

Additional note: Other than a game mechanic, I do think it's also quite unfair that some people have an inherent disadvantage against facing against these demons as since their opponents are litteral world travelers, some versions of them could have lost to them which means they have a harder time against it. Tho, that does make me wonder. Isn't it like until we 'Intervene' into Kazuya's life that he's able to actually bond with these demons? That or I'm mistaking it for that one line that mentoined that every Kazuya up till now never managed to get past Lucy.

..Wait, if other versions of him already lost to Lucy then how come he didn't have any handicaps facing her? Jk, I know it's just plain game mechanic there as it'd be super unfair to us. But anyway, the contract part of this is a genuine question.

EDIT: Quick shoutout to Akonitum, aka the spider spawns. One massive FUCK YOU to those bastards that immediately spam their rape attack after you push them away so their fight is bassically an 'get hit once and you lose' battle.

First, even though there might be a "Contract" mechanic in their world (not sure, can't remember myself), generally speaking, all the Demons do end up killing / severely mutating their victims, for their own sustenance, though, of course, it differs between all the demon species. Rare are the demons that keep their victims for more than the initial encounter, and it's generally to toy with them / further transform them. So there really isn't any problem in regards to dying to malnutrition, as you'll be long dead from other 1000 reasons (or be changed to such an extent, you're not a human, or yourself, anymore).
So, with a few exceptions, most Demons just keep killing victims.

I really enjoyed shrift. Kinda sucks that i don't have the strenght to play the kill all demons route, i did watch snippets on youtube and my heart is already torn to shreds. The fight with iron maiden was brutal, by far the hardest encounter, almost made me give up. Mukuro also fucked my shit up. I believe i had a lot of luck with Arachne, because i beat second try. Ah, almost forgot about Sphinx, i was mad after losing so i did search the final section of answers. Maybe i should have played on the easiest difficulty, the intended difficulty is a little too harsh for my current willpower when it comes to face bullshit. Still, great game. Also the marriage decision was tough, with the exception of M.R, barghast and arachne, all girls are eligible. I did choose lucy because we spent a lot of time together after all. 10/10.

Think of the game as porn undertale (because that's basically what the game is). Even in other playthroughs your actions are remembered.
So, True Mercy -> Genocide is what you're doing, I assume. Meaning the Genocide route is going to have a different story from, say, Neutral -> Genocide.

so i need to do a neutral run now to unlock the true no mercy run or aka merciles run is that right?

In the long run, they're all still genocide routes. They have different dialogue and scenes but they all end up at the same point. You can do True Mercy -> Genocide, Mercy -> Genocide, or Neutral -> Genocide, but it doesn't really matter.

Another thing to note, the author got super mad people immediately went into genocide runs first and thus made it so you -have- to do a neutral or pacifist run -first- before you're even allowed to do genocide.

He also buffed genos final boss to insane level, banned talking about geno on discord and whole EX4 was pratty much "geno bad, you should feel bad for doing geno". So yea dev got salty. Not players fault that we want to murder those demons more then anything.

It's for this why I want a fanmade GenoEX mod, but sadly the game is hard to mod and there seems to be no interest in modding it.

Dfk, game is dirt-shit easy to mod, it's an RPG Maker game, you literally slap it into the editor, modify your desired stuff, Save, then share the modified data files.

Hell, I'll probably do it myself once I get around to finishing Geno on the game (I was previously stuck at the Iron Maiden fight, too much bs RNG, and yea I did play on Hard).

In the meanwhile, you could also quickly use MTool on the game to cheat past the bs parts
