isn't this kinda weird that the final part of the game isn't even finished, but he's already working on the sequel's CHAPTER 3??? That's like having a midnight snack before lunch, some steps were skipped here
Technically, Shrift is finished, while the existence of the afterlife is still a large mystery, to the overarching story, it has far less relevance to the plot.
The black fox fight and anything that happened after or before it isn't a high priority. He also can't really stop now, riding the hype wave of the 2nd game while leaving his first 1 behind.

If you're referring to the Black Fox, its likely intentional because SHRIFT 2's Protagonist is relevant to that final chunk and seeing his whole journey prior will make both characters meeting more natural.

Is my game bugged? I'm stuck on chapter 2 with my options being hide behind a building forever or get gunned down by a helicopter.

You have to move towards the right while making sure the helicopter's gunfire doesn't catch up. It may be hard to tell whats blocking you from moving further with the game's default screen size, so you may have to move up or down multiple tiles before continuing.

The last bit of the helicopter chase has you simply book it to the right and then up as soon as you hit the wall. If you do that correctly the Helicopter cant shoot you at that point.

If you clarify the specifics of the part you're stuck on I can probably help better.

Thanks. The problem is there seems to be a single narrow path for me to take. I can't go up because a car is in the way. I can't go down because there are flowers there. As soon as I reach the grate in the street I get stuck and turned into swiss cheese.

It's odd that you say that, you should be able to walk straight through the grate without issue. HelicopterPath.png

Oh well thanks for the help anyway I really appreciate it. I guess the grate is mad at me for killing everyone in the shelter and won't let me pass. I'll just start over and play through the simp route since that's the way the game seems intended to be played as.

Why is the DLC its own game? And not translated?
Is the DLC content part of the main download too?
It has a higher version number after all.

The DLC Content in question is limited to three scenes with bonus characters, download the main download and play the game as is beforehand.

The DLC itself can be accessed if you really want it later using codes in-game.

So I don't need the DLC download and just need to put in the codes?

So... Can someone help me recruit Mukuro to my room? From what I saw on a page on the internet, you have to use a specific item and then go to the doctor, but I just can't find that item (in fact, I barely managed to beat her, it took about 3 to 4 hours of gameplay).

i finally did it, i beat suicidal on my very first playthrough. only took me a couple days and multiple breaks to collect my sanity. i got neutral ending C with no assists, didnt do any my room stuff, got 40% gallery completion and reached lvl 19. look i know you guys love this game but i cant, this game fucking broke me. might aswell add a percentage to everything so i know how fucked i am, i swear to god this game is a gamble 70% of the times, either hit that lucky critical or struggle struggle struggle struggle... i respect the solo dev but at the same time i wish for him to burn in hell for almost making me go insane.

...alright time for genocide on hardcore! (no im not doing mercy screw you i am filled with anger and want to kill everything before never touching shrift again, that includes shrift 2 and the upcoming shrift 3.)

You need the Abyss Memento, which can be found in the same area as the Mukuro boss fight after defeating her. Instead of leaving for the next chapter, go straight forward and enter the pit room, and then interact with the sparkling lamp to get the Human Key.

Head back in, go to the left-hand room of the area, and use the key to open the signpost secret door at the backend of that room. The memento is in there.

If you've gone past this point its possible you will have to chapter select and re-fight Mukuro.

Let me know your difficulty and what weapons/accessories you have and I can give you a strategy to make the mukuro Refight take significantly less time and attempts.

I realized I might not notice quickly enough when you reply so I guess I'll just send a basic strategy.

If you're on Regular/Masochistic, using the Riot or Double-Barrel Shotgun are both very viable methods of consistently beating Mukuro.

Start the fight with tea and immediately use a Riot Shot/One Shotgun Shell, if you're using the Riot you should get a second shot off ideally the next turn if you can. If you're using the shotgun, simply reload the shell you just used.

These two turns are important, if you get stuck on getting the second action done for a few turns, the fight might turn sour.

After this, simply play defensively. Deal with restraints, use items, no need to try desperately to get an attacking turn.

You're stalling so Mukuro will eventually use her no-restraint time-stop. It's signified by her sprite changing to a far more disheveled one, but she doesn't apply any hair bindings. Normally, attacking her or doing anything aside from Defensive Stance when she does this would lead to death by cowgirl(wonderful way to die I guess), however she takes doubled damage from most damage types in this stance. Use either the Riot Shot or the Double-Barrel Burst Shot and it should be more than enough damage to win the fight and stop her from doing anything else.

If you're on easy you can just use the Riot and shoot her like 3 times she probably wont get to do much about that.

The Riot is obtainable in one of the Cars in 2-1 if you don't know what it is.

To sum it up

Riot Route: Two Shots, wait for No-Restraint Time-Stop, Final Shot

Shotgun Route: One Shot, Reload, Wait for No-Restraint Time-Stop, Burst Shot

just beat genocide on hardcore mode. it was pretty fair (FUCK YOU DEVELOPER WHY DID YOU REMOVE THE SPIDERS AFTER I KILLED ARACHNE!!!) until i got to hyakki, basically impossible unless you want to spend like 2 hours dodging until her mana runs out so you can finally get a hit in, reminds you of another game huh? so what did i do to beat it? i cheated, duh. this is the worst genocide route i have ever seen, its so bad that it makes me wonder if the characters were handed scripts at the start of the game and had to follow them till the end. not to mention the 1000000000 undertale references, i mean come on its justified let people call it a hentai undertale, you get a knife, a heart locket and fight a character who was originally super chill in a hall like area with pillar like structures, been doing your homework, yes? but ill admit the ending was pretty cool, the old one changed colours during the error screen moment and horror arachne didnt appear, very spooky stuff. (what if shes evil!?) anyways im never touching this game again or its sequals, time for bed! (had to do an all-nighter to finish it, bleh.)

genocide (...) basically impossible (...)
Yeah, that's the idea. As of version... 7.2+ I believe? Might be a bit later than that, not sure. But anyways, as of somewhere near that version, the Genocide route was made to be impossible without cheating. And then it was also made so you couldn't get it your first run and you get forcibly booted off somewhere around 2 - 1 or 2 - 2 if you tried. Because the dev got butthurt that people liked it more than the mercy route.

Make hateable characters and give the players a way to kill them, and the players will kill them. Shocker. Who could have guessed.
Not the dev, apparently.

Both the knife and locket in question aren't things the dev implemented, they're modded items that are part of the download package here on F95. Why? I don't really know, makes Hyakki easier I guess.

The Genocide Route certainly has it's problems, which is probably why Alan isn't trying to make one and is moving further away from the undertale homages with the prequel.
