So I think I'm softlocked. I beat sphinx but then used chapter select before going to 3-2 to grab parts and get mother rabbit and haru but now whenever I go back to the sphinx are there's no way to go to the next chapter.

I've been keeping up with Shrift II on Pixiv and Twitter. All I have to say is: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!! I want this game more than I want to breathe. They made the hot Yami and Daji even hotter! Unfair to the extreme hot!! I now have all the motivation that I need to learn the entire Japanese alphabet.

you remind me a bit of myself, taught myself English for a similar reason, wanted to play lots of awesome games that weren't available in my home-language. and now here i am, speaking fluent English.
You can always return to previous chapters to get stuff you missed until you reach the post game. Once you're in the post game lobby, you'll have to do ng+. Use the chapter select on the main menu.

Already tried a few times, the event no longer trigger, same goes for other events such as badhgest in chapter 1. They dont trigger after they are done.
I don't know then. I took the key first as well and went back later to grab them on my first playthrough.

Managed to solve it. Apparently, I just selecting the chapter, going in and out of backalley is not enough.
I had to interact with the Fox merchant to buy something random, afterwards the event will trigger once again.
Beat the cat, leave the ally, go straight to My Room, she is still not unlocked....
Had to select chapter again, ran all the way to the end, end the chapter properly afterwards then the her room is unlocked and properly recruited

Version, 3.4 is already out with collab translated. You guys can get it from the translator website, but the .NET runtime 5.0 is no longer supported.

Thanks for the answer. Really want to do this fight, since it is quite literally the last thing to do in the game.
Unless I go for other ending. But it will be quite hypocritical of me to trying to go for other ending after going going through true mercy and everything that happened in EX 4. It is quite awesome how a game can have such an emotional impact.

Well I recomend going genoside atleast once. The geno path is brutal and super fun.(it was more popular then mercy for a reason). But youll need an older save file if you wanna do it. You cant go geno after EX4.

Hahaha I see, I also realised that the option to remove NG+ bonus is removed after clearing EX4. Looks like the dev really trying to dissuade people from playing it. Even calling out those people who like genocide as "puppet" of the old one

The word you are looking for is salty I think. Devs were very salty. This geno and geno players treatment is my only issue whit the game. Good stuff otherwise.

The dev simply said genocide route was made out of necessity for the story. That he doesn't really like that kind of content or prefers the mercy route, the genocide is basically finished (at the time) and to not bother him about adding more of it. Hmm, really want to try getting other endings after seeing the canon ending, which is the true mercy and true salvation. But looks like I have to delete all the save to attempt neutral/true mercy again and then genocide. The devs are really putting a lot of hurdles just to stop people from trying genocide.
True mercy by itself took me a long time already, which I played on masochist and got it unknowingly on my first playthrough
