The early part of the game may seem a little bit arduous, with some chapters suffering from slightly outdated technical elements and an opening storyline that appear quite distant from what it will later become. Certain initial aspects, such as slice-of-life scenes, moments of socialization between the housemates, and the main character's working days, appear rather redundant or tepid, and the dialogues a bit flat, the scenes lacking a little drive and interest in this part of the game.
In fact, the beginning of the game is basically structured as a fairly classic harem game, before evolving into a completely different plot. Nevertheless, for those who persevere and invest themselves in the game, their efforts are rewarded.
The game's atmosphere is truly excellent, with strong narrative stakes, numerous little plot twists, emotionally striking scenes, plenty of action towards the end, and a large cast of sympathetic characters among the love interests. Admittedly, the time spent with the latter may seem insufficient due to their sheer number, which creates a certain sense of haste, as the development of sentimental relationships takes place over a rather short period of time and often by means of several flashbacks (a common feature of both games).
But despite these few points, the game manages to remain bearable and very enjoyable, and I'm having a great time with it.
I'm delighted that the main plot is finally taking off, it's about time, and naturally I can't wait to find out what happens next. The cliffhanger at the end was pleasant, foreshadowing moments of tension, action and no doubt a little drama. I must admit I was surprised to see Irene back so early in the story; I'd expected their reunion to come only after some time, in the midst of the conflict with Aveline and her henchmen. But otherwise it's nice to hear from her after all this time, poor thing. x)
