Yes, all of the camera shake will be removed, including both the non-POV and POV scenes. Moving forward, I'll be saving the camera shake effect only for specific situations, like action scenes or moments of high impact. For general dialogue and exploration, I will remove it to avoid issues. I have already made this correction. This fix will be released in the new build next week, along with the other changes I've announced.

I was trying to avoid making the audio too loud and overpowering, but it seems I went too far in the other direction.

In the next update, I will try to increase the overall sfx volume by about 50%. This should provide a better baseline, and from there, everyone can adjust the in-game sliders to their personal preference. I appreciate you pointing this out!

I've seen a few questions about who might die and when. While I can't give away any major spoilers, I can say that the upcoming updates will begin to give you a clearer understanding of the stakes and how your choices will start to impact the fate of the characters. You'll definitely get more insight as the story unfolds.

Sfx during sex:
This is a bit complicated for me at the moment because I have to work with pre-produced sounds. I've noticed that some visual novels hire voice actors to improve these scenes, which is something I'd love to do for the game. If I get some financial return in the future, hiring voice actors to make the visual novel even better is one of the first things I'd like to do. For now, though, I can't improve this aspect much.
Fast Pacing in the Flashback:
I can agree with you that some of the movements might feel a bit fast. Because I thought of this episode as a flashback, I didn't want to spend too much time at the university, since the main story will be focused on the investigation. However, this is something I can take into consideration for future updates. It's possible I could add new content and scenes to fill in some of these gaps between events and create more involvement there.

Name and last name:
That's a fantastic idea! I think it's something that is easy enough to implement. I will add this feature. At the beginning of the game, it would ask for your first name, then your last name, and then perhaps a nickname. That way, characters with more intimacy could call you by your nickname, while in more formal situations, they could use your first or last name. I really like that. Thank you for the suggestion.
I'm glad that you removed the shaky camera effect as it was problematic for the eyes.

Before I offer suggestions/constructive criticism, I offer the following warning (this applies to my suggestions as well):

Consider all complaints but don't try to make everyone happy, you can't. You're the dev. It's great that you're willing to listen, but at the end of the day you have to do your thing and some things wont be in your best interest to do.


Ok. so I didn't like the shaky cam, however, the breathing effect can have its place IMO. If a Li is turned on in anticipation of a sex scene or just finished working out or something where her breathing would normally be more intense. The breathing is a bit too distracting for ordinary conversations, for example the conversation with the Professor. She looked like she was horny and ready to go (hyperventilating) but that conversation was just professional and friendly.

The dialogue wasn't bad but it didn't feel natural. Weird as this sounds I think you could use some boring dialogue. Every conversation, even the casual one felt like they were trying too hard to be important. Especially when they were explaining why they hang at Keith/Kate's. She has great milkshakes and she's friendly so we go there to unwind, been doing it for years. That's it.

Overall I liked it a lot and found it a promising start. The premise seems interesting, the visuals and animations are great and the characters seem interesting and attractive.

The flashback/prologue worked well so far (I usually hate when avns do this) and the 100% animations feels different and kind of cool (although some still images might speed up development).

Good luck. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

Gameplay & QoL Improvements:

How about just get rid of POV? I'd prefer to see the MC's face in games.

Also, there's a weird jump when they go to Keith's cafe. JANE DOE says "Come with us. Our treat." Then at the cafe, Jane shows up and Madison and Emily are *already* there waiting for him. That doesn't make sense as they they say something about it's the third time this month. This could be a time jump, except they then introduce Madison to Keith?????

In the same Cafe scene, the camera moves behind Madison and Emily to show Keith sitting alone on the other bench.... Where's Jane?

EDIT: In the park scene, Jane proposes a study group. When Madison leaves she says she told her mom she would call before "our study session."

All of the needless video is annoying. Getting rid of the jitter will require re-rendering it all. It really doesn't add anything that static renders wouldn't convey just as well. And the videos probably require more renders than having more intermittent stills would require.

Does anyone else find Emily's look a bit cartoonish?

As for the POV, unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about that. The entire game was designed with that purpose in mind from the very beginning and VAM doesn't offer many customization options for male characters. That's actually one of the main reasons I opted to use a POV perspective.

When playing, I didn't really think of pov, never really occurred to me until mentioned by that dude. I will say, it does suck a bit about no mc face, cause I feel like it limits some things during romantic or sexual scenes. I know there area few good male characters to come out of some other games from VAM, but pov is fine.

The only issue is I feel like its harder to capture kissing. It may make lewd scenes harder overall, cause of the limitations of hiding the face, so can only use certain angles. Just feels like its harder to capture the romantic aspect at times. Among other things.

So hopefully you continue to find a good ways to implement these things like kissing and such in first person pov.

I like the POV. You rarely see it in modern avns and it helps the immersion.

The lesbian content will occur within the context of the threesome scenes, specifically when the MC is with two girls at the same time. There are no plans for scenes that feature only girl-on-girl content without the MC's involvement.

Regarding your first point about character fates: I won't spoil exactly who or when, but I can confirm that in Episode 1, some developments will occur that have irreversible consequences for certain characters. The choices you make will definitely determine who is still standing at the end of the investigation.

As for the license plate on the car, you are absolutely right. I must have overlooked that detail. The image on the board is meant to be a model or a mock-up representing an eyewitness sighting of the vehicle, not the actual car itself. I will correct this in the next update to remove the specific license plate to avoid confusion.

I really appreciate you flagging these things for me.
Can you play in a way where none of the main characters die, or is someone significant always going to die no matter what choices you make?
Is it that the paths are essentially switching who gets 360noscoped because someone will always die, or can I have a perfect run and "save everyone"?

I've never seen good kissing in a POV AVN. It's usually cringy as the LI is zoomed in and you see her pucker up. The implication is she's kissing the MC's eyes. :) :) :)

No comment about the plot hiccups? Oh well.

One last one: Vicky. If you talk to poor Madison to find out what's wrong toward the beginning of the game, the Player never sees Vicky. Unless I missed it, there are no on-screen appearances of Vicky in the Madison path. It makes all the drama about breaking up with her weird. Sure the MC knows her. Emily knows her. Even Madison seems to know her. But the player? Nope. She's just someone talked about. It's hard to have any feelings for her without ever seeing her.

As for NTR, yes, it will be a theme, but only with one specific girl on one specific route, and it will be very clearly signposted beforehand.
You are being blatantly disingenuous by not adding the NTR tag in the OP, where you added all those other planned tags people don’t really care about

You want it in your game? Fine, but let players know from the get-go what they are getting into. You are not the first dev to try to mix romance with cuckoldry, and you certainly won’t be the first to make it work. All people ask is a bit of honesty and transparency, because had I read the thread before, I wouldn’t have downloaded it in the first place and just ignored it.

Put it in the OP, so people who are tired of the NTR inclusion everywhere can leave, and NTR fans can take a look at your game. Shit, this only happens with this one tag, its so annoying :FacePalm: that a dev knows announcing said tag will be in the game is going to negatively affect it, yet he is adamant in adding it even if it means basically lying to the players (by omission). Crazy stuff.

Edit: Nvm, he isn’t adding it anymore, which is pathetic. If you want it there, just add it. The problem is trying to hide the tag by not including it in the list of planned content from the get-go.
There will be the possibility of having NTR scenes and scenes with two or more characters. However, I believe it's better not to classify the game as NTR, or even Harem, to avoid giving the impression that the entire game revolves around that. Since these won't be a constant part of the story, I've decided to remove them. (tags)

First off, I want to say a massive thank you for all the incredible feedback, suggestions, and discussions over the last few days. As a solo developer, hearing your thoughts is invaluable, and I've been reading everything.

I'm excited to announce that I'm targeting a release for the Android version.

Along with the Android release, there will be a new PC/Mac build that includes several quality-of-life improvements and content adjustments based directly on your feedback. Here’s what you can expect:

Thanks for these changes. I just started and had to stop because the text speed was driving me mad and the camera shake was annoying. The text speed is always a deal breaker for me in these. I did graduate kindergarten a long time ago. I read much faster than that.

I found how to fix it, in the file ("game\screens.rpy") on Line 128, change "slow_cps 45" to "slow_cps = 0", but that will mean you cannot change the text speed if you want. If you want the text speed bar to work in preferences, but remove or comment out that line of code.

Thank you! I always have the text speed set to max so I don't need it to be changeable in the preferences.

Edit: Works but I think i will still wait for the version that isn't shaking the whole screen all of the time.
