The dev hasn't been active on this forum since May 2019, so I doubt you'll see any answer from them here. The only thing that seems to work is to not support them financially when they begin to delay, and support them again when they deliver.

I assume he is still enjoying a good monthly income from Patreon. None of his Patreons are bothered to exit, even upon getting charged without any update. Good for the DEV only.
