I updated the script with the old patch. This should work.
EDIT 2021-04-03: Updated it to Ep.11
How to install:
Rightclick on script.rpy -> "Save as", then rename it to just script.rpy (without the numbers and the _) and replace the one in the game folder of the Renpy game.

I never had any problems to restart here due to the directory names. So possibly the more honest answer was "stupidity between chair and keyboard". Using different directory names for each version is actually a good idea to save some players from unintentionally deleting their data from the previous version. Copying the old save folder from the old version's directory to the new version's directory is something I do every time, when a new version of a game, that I play, is released. And that means, that I never had to ask for saves so far because I deleted mine. So in my opinion calling using different directory names "insane" is quite arrogant. And the fewest really can afford being arrogant.

here is my unofficial android port of Sinful Delicacies EP12.
from now on my android ports of Ren'Py games have a 2nd, persistent save location like windows. if you uninstall an app, the save files and persistent data remain intact.
therefore the app needs the permission to access the public external storage (or a new one on Android 11), because it has to read and write outside its own external storage directories.
you have to grant the permission or the app is shut down.
