Where does the game end? I'm stuck where the MC sleeps. And that's way after the 2nd encounter with Marsha?

Not sure why those permission weren't set, but at a guess it may have happened during the zipping/unzipping process. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Overall, regardless of engine, Ren'Py, RPGM, Unity, et al, they generally stop at the generating the build, which makes sense, since that's all they're built for, but there's two additional steps a developer could take if they want to be more Mac friendly.
  1. Create a Mac installer package, so things like permissions are set correctly and you can avoid issues like this. There are books and websites dedicated to doing this, and if you're interested let me know and I can forward some along.
  2. Sign both the installer and the application with a Developer's cert. (Though this step probably only makes sense for a final version). Signing means that both the installer and the app will be trusted by the Mac and won't prompt the user to see if they really want to open/run them. Getting an individual Apple Developer account for Mac is $99 a year.
Though there will likely be a learning curve involved of varying degrees depending on one's familiarity with the Mac, e.g. it may be harder and therefore a lower priority for some. That's OK. I see the above as a "nice to have", and so far the community has managed to come through with issues like this. Us old timers are used to do some digging and tinkering to get games to work on the Mac. Sometimes, it's part of the fun.
Thank you for taking the time.
It makes sense to me now, that it happens during zipping/unzipping, because the one I tested had not ben zipped, but just moved to a usb-drive. From there it could be moved and played.
Hm, I'm considering adding a launcher to the game and looking into a few options at the moment. I'll try and make sure that it also works for a Mac build if I can find one that satisfies my needs.
And please, do forward me a website or two about this. I'd like to know what it's all about.

Cheers - Kaffekop

@Rancioman

You really should upgrade your PC if you want to keep on playing games !
The E5400 is almost 10 years old ! And for the RAM 2gb is the minimum to run Win 7.
You don't have to buy a brand new PC, but with a little investment you can have something that could work for several years. The pentium G dual core are really powerfull and can compete with the I3 or even some I5.

I have a dual core G2130, 16gb and a 750 Ti. This old gear let me play games like (Elex, The witcher 3, DAI) of course not with ultra settings but still playable.

Pleased to see this reworked version doesn´t hide content to some characters and 2/3 of your family. To have at your disposal open routes for all characters -apparently- from the start is a very welcomed improvement. Nice decission. As I told in my previous post, try to open more and more branches would lead to unpleasant plot holes and frustration for players and developer. Would be a pity spoil so nice work because excessive ambition.

One of my favorites games so far. One of the few I am interested in story and characters -and very nice renders, too-, my only complain is some inconsistencies at some scenes and time jumps, but I suppose were required for characters introduction.
