Hi there – It’s time for another update.
I’m doing quite well and I’m currently in a good place, mentally. Actually I am feeling a lot better now than I have been feeling these past years. I’m amazed what a therapist and some conversations can amount to over the course of a few months.
And now for an announcement: I will be returning to Sins of the father come January 2019.
I will take December and work a few things out both with IRL relationships and my way of working on my project. Especially the latter has turned out to have been a trigger for my downward spiral, that I should avoid at all costs. Hence, I need to reevaluate my work process and make the necessary changes, so I don’t fall into that dark pit again.
That’s all for now and thank you for hanging in there.

This is very encouraging, looking forward to seeing what he comes up with in the new year. Frankly, bloody well done to him, both identifying that he needs help, getting it and working through his problems rather than soldiering on and making the hole deeper.

Hello guys and girls
Just wanted to take the time to say hello now that I'm feeling better and I can see that you have all been kept updated by some of my patreons (thanks a lot guys
) and not gotten into fights - which is nice.
After having read through the posts I can see that there are some growing concerns about the upcoming choices that our mc is going to have to make:
1 - Get involved with one or more members of his family (Nat, Jo or Mary).
2 - Leave them to their own devices and completely shift focus onto other women.
Now, about number 1: I love choices and my original idea was to have the mc make choices about who he wanted to be with, when it comes to family, for the remainder of the game. This will add 12 new branches to the story that needs to be incorporated into the main story line. Right now, it is making my head spin, but I believe that it is an important part of any vn that the player is given choices that matter throughout the game.
About number 2: This is by far the easiest for me to make, but that is only on the surface. Leaving the women of the family alone will open them up to a world of dating and sexual encounters with other people. These encounters will have an impact on the family as a whole an maybe even on the mc as he may get introduced to women he would not otherwise meet, if he chose option 1.
What I'm trying to convey here is that it is a choice and that you as a player should choose what you feel is best for you. Again choices matter and they have an impact on the game experience. Some have an immediate effect and others will first show themselves down the line.
Speaking of one of these choices that you may have made and that didn't seem to have any immediate effect: Meeting Spyder for the first time. What did you do? What happened? This particular choice is coming to fruition in the next update and you will see how that choice shapes the story onward.
Enough rambling on my part. Just happy to be back.

Welcome back! We missed you, not just because you've made a great game, but because we were concerned for your health. Glad all things are back on the right track. We'll wait for your next update, but keep the stress down...despite the constant pleas seen here, we all actually want you back up to full speed so we can all finish this journey together!

Your ambitions are your own, but do take the time to figure out how you want to handle this. When I looked at your code, the structure seemed somewhat ad-hoc, and difficult to keep track of. Adding all those branches is all but inviting disaster in the form of hard-to-track bugs and unintended branch interactions (unless you have a map of some sort drawn out).
Yup, just keep it simple man. I love the story, character, and sudden plot at the end of this version, but tbh i dont want it to like Summertime Saga which is have a lot of characters and ALSO a lot of bugs that hard to track. Maybe you could take "Where The Heart Is" as an example where you as the MC still can F-ing a lot of characters, but you can choose who you wanted to F. Characters whom player not interest in would be skip the opportunity to have sex with them.

It looks like you have definitely determined the next course of the game. The female members of the family will probably be shared with other men (I think this is not NTR). Due to my selfish devotion to the incest harem, I will stop watching the game here. Your path is not wrong, as you say you want to create a real world that fits your imagination, this is your world, you have the right to do it And I feel that when I no longer fit into that world, I would leave, There will probably be some opposition to your new improvement, so I expect you to pursue that ideal until the end of the game. Do not kick those guys like Eric in Big Brother . Thanks for creating the game, I wish you all the following updates to be successful. Goodbye

If I'm understanding the dev right, he plans to incorporate 2 opposing routes to the game - The MC must choose either his family or others. I see greater success (longevity & patrons) in the dev allowing the MC to crisscross both routes (e.g. threesomes, foursomes, and orgies between family members and neighbors). Why monkey with a good thing that I and others already deem as successful and could financially support?!

Well it is his choice, but i do think that perhaps choosing a group that is mixed between family and non-family would appeal more, for example i don't see a reason not to push for a threesome with the Mom and the Milfy neighbour.

Damn, I just found this game a few days ago. Wow. It's great. Interesting story, good writing and sexy girls galore. Especially Nat and Mary with their tanlines. Nnnngghh... So hot.

As always with this type of game, I want them all. I want to fuck every woman in this game and if possible add as many as available to the MCs personal harem.
