There is little movement here, on Discord, Patreon or its own website. But a few days ago the developer said on Discord that they were solving some problems and for the first (not anymore ) or second week of this month the update could be ready. I'm not very optimistic (with the project in general), due to the little movement, but it would be a shame if a project as courageous as this one was paralyzed so soon.

The update is basically ready but I had to rush to ship a suitable payment system on our website, otherwise, people would not be able to support our game. Basically, every other payment system is quite strict and ambiguous towards porn (seriously, fuck censorship), so we needed to get Epoch's approval and are now completing the final steps. Unfortunately, I can do little at this stage if not wait and hope.

But this was the best decision since it will guarantee a future-proof environment to keep working on this game. Patreon is still doing the job for now, and we could easily keep it going by publishing some random stuff (we will), but I simply don't like the idea of being arbitrarily banned by some random platform because we also do real porn.

Some great news is coming, but I'll share it when everything is official. We may be introducing a new character soon, decided by the community (like in my wildest dream), but more news after the update.

That said, if I get no news I'll post it anyways, so you can at least test this new game mode and have a bit of fun with the new scenes we shot.

Thank you, so when will you release the update? I don't mean to sound ungrateful but the initial roadmap said that version 0.3 would be released on 21 of January and we are now almost 1 month after that. Also no news on Discord.

Unfortunately seems that you are right, the dev here is more communicative (although we are during early stages of the game) compared to the one from Once Upon, but both seems not trustworthy. From scheduled relase in 21 of January to "the game is almost ready" in 10 of February to "I'll release it by the end of the week" in 19 of February (Discord) to "it is a matter of hours" in 27 of February (Discord). No post in Patreon from early December.

I don't think that there is a coding/developing issue, I believe that there is some shooting/actor problem because as you said real actors/pornstars got to get paid...

The game was very promising. Porn game with real actresses with scenes exclusively recorded for the game.

Also, the game is not linear, with different paths. In summary: A great idea in this genre of games.

But with only two versions (only one with a porn scene) with little content, it is unlikely that the gaming community will give their mass support.

That at such an early stage of development, delays and little communication from the developer, added to how little progress the game has made, have meant that a great idea is practically doomed to failure.

Either it starts releasing new versions more regularly, players notice developer interest in their own product, or it becomes a good idea badly executed.

Personally, sadly, I think this is more than dead. A great missed opportunity.

Yep i have the same feelings about this game
especially with the promises he made on his roadmap, here on f95 and on discord about the update
so there are 3 options in my opinion
1. he rly did this update and the porn shoot and just holds back until he knows how he can make money with (the less worse option) but its still bad cause he made promises and never hold them
2. he try to buy time without the update done and hoping for money via patreon (what will not happen except that 5 people)
3. he give us 1 more update and is having a option for people to pay but it will be the last one since he will see it wont work when he misslead people already

its kinda sad how this "genre" is going down more and more

Unfortunately, I had a bad injury and I needed time to recover, also mentally, so I had to prioritise my well-being.

I know many projects on this website are gonna fail, but this project will be completed no matter what. Since we strongly believe in this idea and we invested a lot of energy. The only question is if with people's support, in a crowdfunding way with no DRM or publishers, it is possible to make this sustainable in the long run, which means adding new content, new characters and so on. I'm pretty sure it is since we had more than 57000 downloads through the website only, and we barely did any promotion in Italy.

We decided to keep Patreon up and running, there you'll see another project that is about to start.
Specifically for Sinsword, we created a new web app. Since it was the only way to guarantee the payment provider's strict security requirements. On that app, I put some milestones to reach in order to unlock new stories with new actresses, few of them actually played the game loved this project and hope to join us.
The app will be live soon.

That said, about this update, we implemented a sandbox mode, we tried to make it open-ended so in the future adding new stories and new characters will be easier, at the same time we added some mechanics to make it accessible and not tedious for the player, we still need some balancing and tweaking.
We progressed the story with three more days and two new sex scenes.

In the following days, we'll post a 0.3.5 version where we'll address the bugs, and we'll implement the Italian language.
That said, I hope you like this new update.

I also got lots of exceptions when loading the last saved game, but I started a new one and it has been smooth. It really is an ambitious game, and with many decisions, I wish the best of luck to the developer!

It's very annoying to read people on this website already complaining and writing bad shit about it though.

Also the game freezes once you get the 10 botles of wine and enter the bar. The wordbox "there we go" shows up and then nothing more happens and the HUD is gone nor the key shortcuts work.
