Enabling rollback is pretty easy if you unren the game or use enable dev mode renpy tool and then open the options.rpy and set define config.rollback_enabled = False to define config.rollback_enabled = True

Looks like you also have to open up the script.rpy change it to True there as well and then rollback will work.

Pros: mostly good models, some hot scenes, fast moving, and choices unlock side scenes.
Cons: one scary face model, the occasional crash, overlapping models, moments where you click on every object on the screen to progress, and change of view makes story confusing at one point.
Make sure you: like incest and save a bunch in the "Glass House" due to possible crashes.
My verdict: well worth downloading.

Also, the back button worked for me in game, so that's a decent alternative to the mouse rollback function for those who don't want to mod or edit files.

I just finished doing a compare between the .7 and .8 script files. Other than the new content, the only changes made were inserting a "pc_name" variable instead of using "Adam" in one line and changing a single variable value in an "if" statement - which means it's going to be as buggy as the prior releases until the new content is appended onto the files we've already fixed.

Images were all the same up to the new content, so the prior image fixes will need to be used as well. It looks as if I'll need to work up 2 or 3 more navigation images to get rid of the scribbled arrows again.


EDIT: I'm attaching a preliminary version of the script.rpy file that uses my prior fixed file with the chapter 8 content appended. I haven't even had a chance to start playing yet, so the new content may have more bugs/errors that need to be squashed.

To install: extract into your *SSS*\game directory, yes to overwrite.

EDIT 2: Looking at the new script and images, there's a few hot scenes with Jennifer in the new content (finally!) and a tongue lashing for Addison.

Dude, this game is a pain to play without fixes, thank you.

i didn't read your version of the script so i don't know if this problem has already been addressed. after the scene with jennifer with the MC on bed talking with the cousin, you will get a dialogue with the MC talking about how he had sex with jennifer even if he didn't. that happens if jennifer rejects him during the bed scene, you will only get a dialogue with the MC talking about being rejected by jennifer if she refuses to follow him in the bedroom.

another problem, but this is poor script writing and not a bug, so, nothing you can do about this, is that in the MC as a sub route he still acts as a master to jennifer, it would have made more sense to either have him as a sub or to have him fail to seduce her.

I ran into the same problem, try following motlings post but choose "That doesn't sound weird at all" rather than telling her it is weird. According to the script telling her it's weird loses you a point, leaving you one shy of the required score.

you need to have enough points with jennifer BEFORE the scene otherwise the MC won't have sex with her no mater the choices in the dialogue. if you can't have the sex scene no matter what you'll have to re-play the game from the start making sure to maximize jennifer's points.

Why is it common practice to make updates which have to be downloaded in their entirety as opposed to incremental add in files? I only know the most rudimentary programming so that is probably why I am not getting it.

Great question. Some simple errors in Ren'Py games can be fixed by an add-on file, some can't. The problems with this specific game are 1) lots of errors with the code - many of which cannot be fixed with an add-on, 2) literally hundreds of spelling and grammar errors and the dialogue is the bulk of what a developer adds to the base Ren'Py platform in terms of lines of code, 3) errors that require modified image files to fix, and 4) the developer never fixes any of the previous Chapter's errors when he puts out a new chapter/update.

TLDR - with a well-done game you can just put out a patch file; this game is a hot mess.

I have kind of weird question then.. Does the dev even fix his game for his own patrons? I mean they are supporting him/her, dev should be supporting them back. Not just with more content, but with fixes as well.

Seems to me the only support, is from the kind folks here. I guess they support his content updates and then have to come here for the generous bug fixes.

The dev should politely acknowledge the effort of the people here for doing his job for him/her, in thanks or support.

Even if the dev dose not, I personally appreciate your hard work and love to get us all a functional game.
