I will take this constructive criticism to heart.the eva fight is impossible without joints since all she does is spamm pure logic which takes away a hefty ammount of attention. even if you use the attack that counteracts attention drain its not enough. if you use the attack that makes attention shields higher to mitigate the attention drain, 2 pure logics are still enough to just lose the fight.
without joints that fight is literally impossible, and with no way to get new ones, if you didnt use them properly the first time around you´re out of luck.
i´ts a fun game, and i´m looking forward for when it has some content.
but try playing it yourself to see where balance goes all wonky. remember that not everyone knows the mechanics of the game as well as you do

I am currently revamping the whole battle system to make it more consistent, more satisfying and less punishing. As you said, sometimes you end up in really tedious fights because the balancing act gets too hard and not fun.tough love
Interesting game so far and I hope you'll continue to add and refine, it has potential although it's understandably very preliminary and hard to play at the moment.
The battle system certainly seems to require balancing. The penalty from shield levels is also very severe, so using moves to reduce those levels is critical...and yet if I spend a turn reducing attraction shield by one my opponent can spend their move both adding back that shield level AND decreasing current attraction/patience, nullifying my move AND making the situation worse; and they can do this repetitively. It's easy to stall a battle indefinitely but it's unbalanced and very tedious to win when the opponent can add shield levels AND reduce Attraction/Patience in a single move and the player has to spend a move to EITHER reduce shield levels OR add Attraction/Patience.
Maybe try adding cooldowns or PP to overpowered opponent moves? Or a failure chance?
Joints are 200 to buy and a single, TEDIOUS, foreplay victory with "Average" is hit and miss for just 70. So it's not even worth using the joints to make money making easier since they're worth almost 3x the reward from the fight.
Maybe you have advice for how to actually win battles more quickly/consistently since you designed the system and I assume you play-tested?
I tried again, today (with version posted here, not your latest). Once I realized I could/should build up the Patience shield instead of just keeping it neutral the battles became much easier. My suggestion to make the game easier is to explore, every fight after the first 2 (Pinky and Lizzy) will give you a new technique, and they get progressively better.
I am struggling to convey that information to the player. That they don't need to win every fight and can return to them after, I believe the Hint System in the SLUTDex may help with that (at least let you know that there are other SLUTs available).
But is not enough and if you have any suggestion to express this to the player without having a tutorial (I dread them) I like suggestions
Mysterious Gaze from Demona is a must for this version, regretfully, and can "cheese" fights more efficiently than any other.
I noticed the Average fights were way too hard in this version, I corrected that in 0.7, fortunately. Yeah, joint didn't worth it hahaha.

Have you changed your techniques at the wingman?
If you have the basic techniques you should be able to win all the fights without the need of joints.
Did you win the fight against Demona? She will give you a better technique to make it easier.
I may "not know what I am doing", I don't consider myself a great developer or anything like that, but this is hardly a cash grab, as I have lose money till now and I am doing it out of passion for porn and games.
Remember this is a really early release.
The 0.6 version (that will be publicity released in a month approximately) has a way to make money and buy more joints if you need to.

I dream with that level of complexity and variety, but I don't want to feature creep the game at this stage. Once I get to complete this one to the 1.0.0 version, then I will allow myself to increment the scope more and do all that great stuff you suggest. Maybe a SLUTMASTER 2 even. That's a promise.This game has potential, but it needs some time to flesh out the content. I think it would be better to design pets directly from the two directions of light and darkness. The light is biased towards normal sex, and the dark is biased towards SM sex, and then various categories are added, such as male, female, futa, bimbo, etc.
