This is a good game it has interesting choices to make which impact the game in very different ways. The intro with its warnings to not attempt any of this in real I thought was goofy. The creator making all the siblings step siblings including your twin sister wasn't necessary. Overall it looks good and plays well enough, not crazy long also.

It's pretty sad to see what a shit show this has become. I was a huge fan of CypressZeta since Overwhored. It's sad to see that success got to his head. I was really looking forward to Overwhored 2 and Tropical Daze but I guess we're never going to see that.

Given the fact that Cypress it's literally scratching his balls right now and not working on those other projects he said he was going to do because snowdaze remake is being made totally by critical bliss, i guess that this is the last thing we'll hear from him.

Maybe he'll start to say lies on subscribestar like "i've started to work on this project", keep it alive for a while showing the least possible and after some time tell everyone that he can't make all this job anymore and he will retire forever scamming everyone again.

They're doing "animated" rather than animated. There was a video demonstration a while back that they shared, it had a lot of sliding and movement of comic-styled panels but no actual animation that people would expect from the term.

Yeah i know, I've already said that that shit it's not animation, nor is that shitty live2d some people do. But well, like i said, this is the end of Cypress, unless he wants to keep scamming lol.

But that's something I already made in the original Snow Daze. The code is already written and in the game. They claimed they were "redoing" that? wow haha

how the hell was the first one even finished?
Myself and two artists pushed the game forward when we joined Outbreak and communicated a lot on the discord with fans. It was really fun and simple to work on. But once we moved on when the game was complete and Cypress went all in with CB, well... you see how things are now.

Oh so you're were in the development of the first one, why did it took longer on the final steps to complete the game? Also do you anything about the first moments of the remake or something from when it was going to be just a dlc?

For the final day we wanted to make it bigger. There was a couple of endings that got simplified or cut. The harem ending still made it into the game but there was more dialogue planned for some of the girls if you ended up choosing them from your decisions in earlier days.

The first moments of the remake, and actually the entire idea of it, was CB's idea. It only came up because LL wanted to wipe any trace of me and my group (Kyungeki Workshop) from the game. So he convinced Cypress to remake in the game in Unity instead of the existing engine Ren'py. Of course, since Cypress no longer had a programmer (I was the programmer) he had to use CB's programmer who only knew C#. And following that decision, the entire dialogue system had to be re-written from scratch using just XML exports. That's why the remake never materialized. Because such a drastic change would take a year at best with a dedicated team remaking all of the dialogue and those effects. CB is not a dedicated team. Cypress is a writer at heart, not a tech project manager. That's why you haven't seen anything except concept art from the remake for years. The moment CB took over this game was doomed.

The time i heard unity for a visual novel was the moment i knew the project was fucked, there's literally no pros in making a VN with unity if you're not adding minigames and other stuff, and now they went to Godot.

Cypress did have a team for art and write before partnering with CB right? Because he managed the whole remake project like shit, like, with the first game he was showing progress posting updates on Patreon, but with the remake even before CB he never showed anything, maybe some concept art here and there, but it was almost radio silent the whole time like CB. That alone makes the whole project look like he's just asking for money and not doing anything, it's like Dr.Bones lmao.

Also, Cypress said that the first day alone of the remake had more content than the whole first game, it makes no sense saying that and not having a simple demo to show, and there's the 3d rooms making for the 2d sprites, also fucking stupid.

Hah. He wishes he did. Cypress was the only writer for all of Snow Daze. We had about three artists (they were really good). That was it. It was just us handful of people building the entire game. There are even less people involved now that CB is in the picture, because CB doesn't pay people. There is only so much work you can do off of empty promises and a love of the game concept before you decide to leave. So of course, without dedicated people or a dedicated person steering the ship, you just get radio silence or hastily thrown together sketches from the latest artist that you were able to trick to draw for you temporarily.

The swap to Godot would be a good thing in theory. It is much smoother to do this type of game in that engine. But since no one behind the game really cares about it, and the one programmer doesn't know the primary language of the engine or the engine itself, there won't be a demo.

I agree. It's pretty dumb.
