I posted what was the situation with the game, removed instantly and the mod made literally the same post, but lying, that the demo is coming surely in 2025( a whole fucking year again for demo) and that Cypress reopened subscribestar for shitty audio and i quote from him because idk what the fuck this means "he's offering suggestions for people on the subscribestar and they would be continuing the snow daze story.". Fuck Cypress, I'll stop following this disastrous project and pirate it if ever comes out, poor soul whoever keeps giving money to him.
The worst thing is that CB will literally be the same as Cypress with how he carried the project. They will never talk about it, and if we're lucky it'll come out one day, but be ready for an even more silent treatment.
I mean how else is he supposed to release those extra special recordings? Just think of all the effort that went into recording them. He cannot just put them out there for free.
I would not be surprised if they had not even started development yet. It is physically impossible to not have a day0 demo even if they were just reusing old assets. These kinds of demos are not just for the audience they are also there for the devs to establish the basic idea of game flow and what is and is not possible with the engine. Without that preliminary tech demo there is no point in even making assets because without a baseline idea of how they will be used and formatted is a recipe for wasting time.
They literally said that the first day of the remake had more content than the whole first game but still we dont even have like a 5 min demo, so yeah, it's a clear picture that they don't have shit at this point. A demo with like, idk, Jason presentation, Jason showing the artifact to hypnotize the girls, etc, with like 10 min gameplay would literally be enough, but NOT EVEN THAT, no even some cg to cover 5 to 10 min gameplay, and aaaaall this shit after 4 FUCKING YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT.
And even this, Cypress telling that he closed the subscribestar because there was no game to show to just then reopen it to release some shit audio thah nobody fucking cares.
This is really just a consequence of patreon/subscribestar/whatever else not having any kind of checks and balances against this kind of scammy behavior. All they would have to do is implement a simple rule that you are not allowed to ask for more than a 1$ pre month without a fixed release schedule and all of this would go away.
Yep, i said it before, all those plataforms should make annual checks to the users that ask for money support to see if they are really working or not, or at least make a refund system where you can ask for a refund if you see the user is just scratching his balls with your money. Now even with the AI literally anyone can go and start differents accounts to scam people.
This game is completed. It has a beginning, a middle, an end.
The demo was never coming out this year nor the game like the steam page said, we all knew that by all the evidence of Cypress development. They already changed the steam release date from 2024 to "to be announced" since they don't have any shit done, they scammed every supporter. Worst thing is that they still don't drop any hard date for it, not even 2025, and that's after 4 years of being developed.
