Check In 12/05/2025
Hello you lovely people, hope your week is finding you well. It's nice here, we had a nice snow storm the past few days, so I took my work up by the window and watched the snow fall. As you no doubt noticed billing resumed this month, which means I'm feeling good about release this month. I don't have an exact date but in an abundance of caution I'll set the expectation for later in the month. As I always say if we end up absolutely ready next weekend I'll drop it then, but seems smarter to temper expectations. Still you folks have been more than patient and goddamn it I'm gonna get you some content. Still because of the always looming potential of acts of God and men with axes, as well as the looming holiday that borks everybody's schedule up, I practice caution. As for what I'm currently working on, it's a whole bunch of procrastination projects. What I mean by that is something I'm sure everybody has experienced, you're working on something and you have about three or four things that require your attention. So obviously you move to tackle the more difficult ones first seems the most logical decision. So you set the easier or smaller ones to the side, you might even use the oft repeated phrase "That's a problem for tomorrow me." Well now it's tomorrow, and boy did I leave me plenty of problems. Now most of that aren't overly difficult, just fairly numerous and annoying. But all I can do is slap them down one at a time. That's what a majority of my time is going towards. This weekend I need to work on finalising that final scene I mentioned finally being happy with last week. It's only a few renders, but considering it can have eight variations those few add up to a chunk, though it should only be a good afternoon of work to knock out. That's all for update ramble today, some final notes ahead.
With release approaching I have to do my reminder that if you haven't played one of the Book 1 versions with save transfer now is the time to do it. You won't be able to play Book 2 without it. If you're transferring from the Steam version you are already good to go, relax and enjoy the ride. For those who are on the Patreon version that was up prior to today, there's a minor fix we found in testing. The new version and fix file will be up shortly, I'm just waiting on the files to finish uploading. I'll include all the relevant information in the pinned post, but it's an easy fix, I'll have a file and instructions attached as well, but essentially you just need to open it up and save again. Easy peasy, but want to give you time for it. I'll be updating the base file as well, so if you play fresh from that version the fix won't apply to you.
Alright, you're free of my rambling today, I'll check in on Wednesday with our next post since this one ended up being end of week. Thank you as always for your support and I hope you have a lovely and safe weekend.
