I am a programmer, this game doesn't have any complicated mechanics or animations. Just text and images + storing actions of users. In 2 months its possible to rewrite it from scratch If they have all the assets. Seriously this game is possible to be written only in js + html. Its 2d clicker how terrible code is if they have problem adding new images and some texts on each release. Seriously only thing that shold take time for them should be drawing pictures and providing text other than that should be extremely easy. They should just write game engine from scratch and it would benefit them in the long run.

Ok so about 24 hours ago he said in a Twitter comment it’s going good and that it’s all the vault but idk
Smokeshank is the one that does judging by the way he types.
I'm a little off topic, but what would be the characters in this version?
Wonder Woman, and what else ....
I feel that the hawkgirl is missing something, do you understand that?

Sorry for my English :(
Yeah a lot of the characters don't feel like their storylines are quite finished but Black Canary and Huntress are planned for the upcoming release.
I just remembered a character that fits the silhouette and would fit in with SR7's weird troll the fans sense of "humor".

Atlee.. AKA.. Terra III.
It could be her but seems unlikely.
I'm 99% sure its crush because of the fur which is the biggest clue

Mohawk hairstyle fits the silhouette and reaches the neck (characters like rocket don't have hair that long)
Jacket
Lobo was intentionally introduced last update to set-up crush because lex confronted him about issues with payment ( this is one of the most obvious clues)
Crush is a fan fav amongst the new dc characters
She has a different look which is nice so she would be nice to see. I know he did the Lobo portrait many years ago just never added him in the game.

So maybe tomorrow if we are lucky
When they say around of testing it tends to be more than a days worth.
So what we're they doing yesterday or the day before. We have no idea when or for how long they run tests
I think the problem is different people are posting about the testing when they aren't necessarily involved in the testing.

Manually changing expressions for what is probably several books worth of content would take some time and apparently it needs to be manually typed out judging by my talks with the people involved. Using the outdated version of Fungus obviously made it harder in the long run but he used it since he was familiar with it. Another problem is paying a "real" coder/programmer wage to someone isn't going to be enticing when you are used to a certain amount of money every month.

I agree that for non programmer its problematic, but since i follow this project each release there where a lot of almost identical problems and delays because of them. Where technically they seem more like excuses because in 4 years this project exist someone should definetly gain enough experience with coding to deal with it. From my point of view if there is constant problem with quality of code i would definetly invest some time to minimize it. Especially if game is really simple. Seriously this game has only couple of mechanics and they are all turn based so its just small calculation + random number. I don't know how long it takes to draw and write texts but after 4 years it should be 80-90% and coding + testing should be rest.

It's a joke, SR7 patreon supports love to mess with pirates.

Also, stop bitching people, seeing all these posts bitching about the update got old fast.

Yes the update is late, yes this happened before many times and yes I also would like to play the game right now, but wanting something doens't mean anything.

So, for all of you who disaprove SR7 work style, I undestand you, there are many things he could do better, BUT, as long as his patreons don't care NOTHING WILL CHANGE.

Because let's be honest? WHO THE FUCKS CARES ABOUT WHAT THE PIRATES (us) THINK AND WANT!

So, kindly shut up until the update is released, because asking about it won't make it come out faster.

If you are so pissed at SR7 or the game you know you can stop playing right? or drop your support in patreon, much more effecttive than bitching and moaning on a forum made for pirating games

Rant over.
Isn't your post contradictory? You're bitching on a pirate forum about how bitching on a pirate forum is pointless.

Yeah they had Locke who was working on the game for about 12 months part time (he was paid) though I think he probably spent more time on the discord compared to working on the game. There was contradictory information out there for how much he did (he's the one that made the android partial port and a video about the rebuild)

Not too long after this he stopped working on the project and I think privately he kinda stopped working on it before he let the other two know about it. I remember part of the problem was Locke was supposed to do the UI according to SR7 but Locke said he was waiting on the UI or something like that. This was some of the UI SR7 ended up doing for it.

Kinda random but I saw some Redmoa animations on youtube with the Raven model and recently got a VR set. Just had the thought of "What if Something Unlimited, with Redmoa Animations and Skuddbutt 3D models and VR."

Granted it's never gonna happen, but it was a fun thought.

Yeah a game like that would probably end up being more of a femdom game.
update when?

Isn't this the biggest fuckup beyond the release window 'till now?
No this is pretty normal for them now. They've been getting worse for years. They might even formalize the delay soon with a three month release, like when they realized they couldn't do monthly anymore and assured us two month releases would mean no more delays and more content.

When he said another round of testing last time it took 23 days for it to release.
and today we got.

So if history repeats we have 23 days left for the release.

Yeah there's more delays now but I am finding there are less bugs (so we don't get the .333 releases etc so much) Scenes used to dead end more.

Remember when Smokeshank proudly said they never were late? I remember, lol. You guys do realise they do this on purpose right. Delaying = less total amount of builds per year = less work for same "salery".

Edit: This delay and extra time spend does not equal more content. The past has shown they only cut content, never add any extra.

I'm bitching about people bitching, at this point I don't care about delays anymore, makes the waiting easier.
So you bitch about people bitching because it makes waiting easier, but you can't understand that people might bitch about the delays and SR7's work ethic for the same reasons?

It's a thread about a porn game, mate. When it doesn't get updated there isn't much to talk about and it's not like you can praise the guy for delaying it. If you don't like to see people complaining then go join SR7's discord, everyone gets banned there immediately if they say anything negative about the "team".

This is why I like neutral platforms like reddit where you'll get that healthy balance.

Although F95 won't ban you it's largely similar to the discords; legions of people that spend all day online ready to shout down anyone who profanes the developer they've deified. It's behavior I see regularly on this site.

As someone who used to support Gunsmoke, (did for almost three years), I legitimately thought this game was worth the 5$ a month I was pledging for it. Got access to builds early, got to be part of the discord, met some pretty cool people there. After they moved to the 'bi-monthly' releases, I thought that would mean more content, after all, they had twice the amount of time to work on a build as opposed to monthly releases. And then bi-monthly becomes bi-monthly plus a few days, then a week, then a few weeks, then almost three months. I wound up pulling my pledge because I was sick of giving them free money, only for them to keep jerking everyone's chains with empty promises of 'it'll be out by the end of the week, it'll be out by the weekend, it'll be out next week'. I stopped pledging to Oni for the same reasons, a lot of empty promises regarding possible release dates that they kept missing. Whether this is because they are falling behind on work, biting off more than they can chew when working on each build, or they're just setting up potential launch days just so people will stay invested even though they have no intention of honoring that release day, I've had enough.

The last build for this game came out in NOVEMBER, four months ago, going on five now. Even if you factor in Gunsmoke taking a break for the holidays, that's still more than enough time to crank out another build. The sad part was that the build launched in November was supposed to be their October build (I think), meaning they were also incredibly late on THAT build too.

Missing deadlines is already annoying enough, yet the minds behind SU keep insisting they're doing bi-monthly builds even though the gap between releases only grows with each new build. They're milking the patrons they still have left. There's an easy way around this and they aren't taking it. They could do the method of only charging patrons when a build is actually released (but then they wouldn't get months of free money for no effort). Or they could change the release schedule again, do a 'the build will be released when it's ready', rather than 'it'll be out on the 12th of never'. Hell, that's basically what they're doing now, only releasing the builds when they're ready. If Gunsmoke or Smoke-Shank would just come out and say that, I wouldn't have as much problems with what they're doing. But it's because of this baiting with empty promises that I will never pledge money to this game ever again. You can use the argument of 'well, you're getting the game for free by pirating it, so you don't have a right to complain' all you want. I've already paid MORE than enough for this game.

SU may be a fun game, maybe one of the best on this site, but it's definitely not worth all the months I gave gunsmoke free money.

Lmao fuck no. Reddit's upvote/downvote system intrinsically favors the majority's voice. Try criticizing, say, a show on a show's subreddit or a game on a game's subreddit. You will get destroyed.

F95Zone doesn't ban, and the like system doesn't bury unconventional comments. If this were reddit, your comments would be at the very bottom and invisible. This is as neutral as it can be.

And it's only natural that f95 tends to be full of people that shit on gunsmoke rather than deify him, for one, there's many disgruntled refugees from the discord, for two, this is a piracy website so obviously many of us have no attachment to gunsmoke (for whatever reason patrons tend to attach the shit they donate to, to their self-worth).

And as for the f95 whining, it's normal. Just do what I do, ignore it.
