We can't expect much less or more. Normally a game would have like, at least 5-10 updates per year, but it's not my realm of profession so I wouldn't know. How hard would it be to get a programmer and a small team? Like if you're also that paranoid on not wanting to ask for help and doing it all on your own, then why do it? Burnout is just too common and the creator's too afraid to admit that. At least raise specifics and tell them what to not touch or code in particular, lay out a set of rules, communication is key to criticism and improving on work/projects.

Sunset is working very hard on making sure the update is stable even though the content has been done for a month now.
shitpost2.png
It's worth waiting that 80% of updates in the past two years have been delayed that cascade into the next being delayed.

There's no problem in teaser week changing to teaser month and that 2 updates will be AWOL this year because of delays.

Personally, I am outraged, although I did not invest a cent, not because someone is delaying something, but because the developer cannot and does not want to solve such work issues as: unreasonable saving of resources and unwillingness to hire additional employees. These are the errors that you demonstrated, not because he is in a hurry to release an update quickly, but because, by editing your code from time to time, you accidentally miss the error. For example, a writer - reading his text for the tenth time, he simply will not see the missing letter, because his eyes are accustomed to the text.

Does he really care? Not really, art wise and characters yes, story and events? Not so much. There is ultimately no progression, it's very one sided. I would rather get back to Bend or Break 2, which has not been in development for a quite a long time.

In addition to self-organization, the problem here is also inexperience and ignorance of programming. He's just an amateur and his code is a mess. And the larger the game, the more chaos it introduces into the code. And, as far as I understand, he does not really want to hire a full-fledged programmer, because he is afraid for his brainchild that they will ruin everything for him, deceive and do nothing.
I can't help but roll my eyes when his excuse for not hiring a coder is brought up. Asshole just doesn't want to spend the money because he's too greedy and he would immediately run out of excuses to be his lazy self and put out an update every two to three months. Every Something Unlimited update would be a couple weeks of work for a team with any real skill.

Yup. If the coding stops being a bottleneck then he would actually have to draw shit. So much of the art is straight up reused anyway.

I was about to call BS on the people saying that there were only 3 updates this year, but then I went back and checked myself....

Fuck, this game really has gone downhill with their release schedule, at least I still enjoy the content itself.
Yesterday I was even thinking that we have only 2 updates so far:)
Sadly more and more games are going into the direction 1-2 updates per year.
And outside BADIK most don't deliver enough.

Team NLT is damned near the only patreon based porn game developer that produces consistent updates in terms of quality and schedule. A lot of others have suffered recently because there's a small handful of successful ones that get attention on sites like this, leaving some projects by the wayside. Fantasy Valley, for example, is a fairly small project that is probably going to die since the developer isn't able to pull in enough money per month to justify continuing to spend his free time working on it. Which is a shame as Ancho is a talented artist and you can tell that he works hard and cares a lot about the project. Whereas you get lazy fucks like SR7 or Sad Crab who pull in something like tens of thousands of dollars a month on a super popular IP that they do not own and do next to know work, yet people with original ideas who put a lot of themselves into the project get passed by.

Does F95 have any way of promoting smaller developers? Because I feel like there should be a proper spotlight on projects in need of support.

Just... don't compare SR7 and Sad Crab. SR7 has it's flaws, but he's not near as bad as Sad Crab is. SU at least has sex scenes for almost each girls and there is a lot of them, with some have multiple with event/bordello. IW there is 5 girls and only 1 has actual sex and the games have been around for the same period of time.

SR7 is really bad with communication and there is always delays, but if you only take each update, they have way more content than 99% games here.
How many porn games are just ripoff from Honey Select with 1 update every 3 months and will be discountinued within 1 year, but you'll see the comments like "this developer is wonderful and you shouldn't share his patreon content". And I'm not talking about those games just having a blowjob scene were you only got a sex scene each 3 updates.
SR7 is just doing is stuff and promising false things, but if you only take the game, it's not that bad.
Something Unlimited isn't the best porn game, but at least we have sex scenes at each update, with a really nice 2D style. it seems like the bases but there is so many games that don't even do this. But because the developper is a nice guy all is forgiven.

Yeah we could talk about how much money he is making, and it could be better, and it's our right to critisize him. But that doesn't mean either it's the worst porn game ever made.

I think most of the criticism of the developer could be alleviated if he allocated a small amount of his monthly income so his partner could take a few courses on communication and public relations.

The poor communication leads to misguided expectations. E.G. If there will be a delay, warn about it ahead of time rather than the day the update is supposed to drop... and give a better reason rather than same old same old. There has been "last minute testing" many times causing delays. :(

A Change of Pace.
We had originally planned to get this update out then do a small "tune up" update to fix issues and add in content that was cut through out the year. But things don't always go to plan and we've had a lot more trouble than was expected. So we are going to combine the builds. Rather than do two turn-arounds this late in the year. Pulling back on Wonder Woman or other content isn't something we would like to do unless we absolutely had to.

Thanks for the patience guys, we will be sure to have it out before the end of this month.
