HOW? just... HOW?
I have a 5 star 3rd gen Mil fully pimped bot worth 16 mil in the arcade and she barely makes 250k per day...
If you are on the Discord channel, ask that question there and be ready to post a save. And, post what version you are using. That is important because loading a save into the wrong version will not work.

With that would be if the Repair Ship task had her replace damaged/destroyed components with ones from the cargo hold - if available - after combat is over, as I don't *think* that happens currently (been a bit since I took enough damage in combat to need that) but previously - while killing bounties for AI Cores, before I had a full set - that was the other thing I was regularly going to Engineering to do.
You still need AI cores to level up your bots brains (can't think of the name of the part atm).

Damn, wish I'd thought of that or checked the forums earlier. I've basically had thirty days pass in-game waiting for T'Ris to get an infraction to punish them as the main story is stopped at this point waiting to send her to pet training.

Actually, to avoid making progress be dependent on Renpy backscroll shenanigans, it'd be nice if we had some mechanic to have more control over the infractions.

Maybe pull BB-2 into it and have a mechanic where we can bribe him with something (not sure what he wants, maybe we buy him porn from a station or something) and he helps setup a situation to cause T'Ris to get an infraction.

Something where we, the player, have a little more control over that outcome and helps avoid having to pray to RNGesus for things to happen for story progress.
Yes that was a not good design choice to make some so rare.
Have upped probabilities for Tris in V1.1 and am thinking about some influencing mechanics for 1.2+...

Thanks for that information............however, I'm struggling to see/find the autobuy buton/lever etc in the warehouse?
Its under column auto (need hangar for that)
You can btw also load all / stock all in that gui (A)

I like the game. A pretty good mix of gameplay, story and porn. That said, I'd like more interactions with "random" NPCs. The NPCs get repetive quite fast. I like the Veronica/Verity thing for example. But Shady is pretty boring right now.

Some other comments:
  1. Load all / Stock all buttons in warehouse.
  2. Able to see requirements of missions in warehouse.
  3. Auto sell in warehouse if more than X stuff there (though it sounds like better trading is on its way)
  4. Auto scrap of sex bot parts. No I'm not interested in more Gen1 Subpar parts.
  5. Open all for crates.
  6. Some hints on what the traits does would be nice.
  7. It would be nice if it would be worthwhile to specialize a Sex bot; currently you only want to get the highest values and best traits/personality etc. so there is little room to do unique sex bots, they all basically feel the same with a few different skins.

I think something fairly simple would be enough. When selling "lots" in one system, values go down. When buying prices go up. At night prices tend toward neutral and also have random events that cause prices to change; those events can be on the station news as well. Star Traders: Frontiers is an example of space trading I like, but I don't remember exactly how complicated it is.
Very good QoL sugeggestions. Thanks a lot.
I added them to the queue for future releases (1.20+).

No. 1 is already possible. key "A" toggles to load/stock all :)

First of all I must say that this is a really good game. Only complaint I have is that its to damn addictive and gets in the way of doing other stuff. Only going to do this and then I quit, wait this too and this too, then its suddenly in the middle of the night and to damn late to do anything but go to bed.. :)

Was thinking of things to implement to get around loosing allot of money (difference between buy/sell prices for Eternium e.g) and also time since its numbers are limited, to put in the pod I mean. What if you implemented some sort of galactic bank, where before quitting current version you insert all your cash, get a receipt wich you then can put in the pod?!?

Another change I was thinking of had to do with the base. Since its not a legal settlement as it seems, why not talk to the pirates and for a large fee they agree to guard it for you while you are away (until the next update) and for that you get some sort of a document wich you also put in the ships pod (just saying what kind of buildings you have, without inventory to make it easier to implement). That could be explained with that they wont let you enter the base again in the next update, until they see that document (the low level pirates guarding, just dont recognize you). How this would work with the base-pod, well that I dont know, if you dont simply get rid of it all the way and maybe expand the ships-pod instead.

Also since you have made a limit to the number of bots in the pod, I would like if there were atlest a way to put some extra high value stuff in there. like rare skins and maybe also precursor cortexes , they are pretty hard to come by as you know.

Well this post got long as it seems.. tldr, Thanks for providing a really good and somewhat unusual game.. :)

Thanks for the suggestions.
I am glad you enjoyed the game so far.

I'll think about additional ways to use the base for sure.
You can by the way from V1.10 store unlimited bots there too.
With the high end tech gear in Xenos system you could save a bunch 11 Mio Cr. Launchers in the Pod too and your money troubles would be over.

I just found it a bit off to save virtual credits in the pod that would have value in the next iteration, so i limited it to "hardware" so to speak. Technically it would be no problem to store credits in the pod too. Maybe the vouchers are a good idea...

Or put in Collapsars, which are expensive and useful and can be sometimes found in large quantities atSpace oddities Mining Events :)

Hint: There is a V1.00b patch up at patreon in the free section to allow V1.00 to put bots into the warehouse :)

For Princess and the Tower, it sort of felt (subjectively, my POV) like you were keen to "wrap things up" as you got closer to v1.0 (and it actually finished on 0.9c). So it's pretty clear that's different this time. The game's past v1.0 but you're still adding entire new quest lines, new mechanics, entire new areas are still roadmapped, and the main quest isn't even finished. So yv0751 , two questions come to mind:

- Do you have a final version for Space Journey X in mind?
- What's different in Space Journey X compared to Princess and the Tower, development-wise?

Copied 630_warehouse.rpy into folder 650_trading , warehouse still doesn't accept bots.

Yes, the target state is defined (no spoilers). There will be versions until around mid next year.
Continuation then depends on interest. As its a kind of voyager scenario, I could extend it even further with episodes if desired.

Development is quite similar to princess (apart from the hopefully obvious resolution, animation and user guidance improvements). Code is quite a bit more complex, though still the old renpy 7.x with python 2.x, as I forgot to update prior to game start and I dont want to do it half way through as its rather stable as it is.

It does, but you must transfer them from the "bot cargo manager". the thumbnail has a button "stock"
Thank you very much for the patch :) But I would never had guessed to store bots directly from ship when everything else is done in warehouse.

QoL Improvement request:

To be able to customize or swap out the captain's personal bot. The Janeway shell is fun but you've given us so many other shell options now, it'd be nice to be able to play with them. Otherwise give a training option in the Lab where the MC can train a bot the old fashioned way.

Yeah, there was a reason when I coded it: You do not want to load any bot into the warehouse but select a specific one from the thumbnails, thus the way via the cargo export where I had coded the thumbnail bot manager already once

And while we are at it:
  • To read in an old warehouse in a new game that warhouse file / export must have been done _before_ you start your new game.
  • The warehouse is only read in at init of the game and kept in data. Any change to the warehouse file post game init (eg exporting a updated one from your old game etc.) will not be visible.
Anyway, that won't be relevant until public release for V1.10.6, which will be in around 4 weeks from now. So plenty of time to do your exports until then :)

Feedback:
Among the absolute best 3d models in any game, at least style wise.

Animations could be longer than a few frames. Having several poses during events would also make the payoff feel more substantial, once you get to escape the heavy grind for a bit.
A healthy bucket of random antics would also be cool, making the ship feel more alive.

There is really very little dialogue. More dialogue could flesh out the personalities of the shipmates.

It would be nice to be able to change the skin of the personal bot - why can I ship better looking bots to sex arcades, but have to look a mommy-bot in my room? It would also be nice being able to buy or discover extra programs for it more easily.

Otherwise a fun game. I like the space battles and exploration aspects, despite the grind.

Definitely expecting the princess to get thoroughly trained ;)

One other small series of upgrades I'd like to request is improvements to the Autotrainer.

Couple thoughts in mind for why this:
1) I often hit a point where I can't get enough energy pods fast enough (even with Renpy backscroll shenanigans) to keep up with the manual training needs for the number of bots I am assembling, so I end up falling back on the Autotrainer but then I end up with full slots of bots Autotraining for days. It'd be nice to find a way to upgrade the Autotrainer to improve the speed at which it trains the bots.

2) I like the idea of sticking more of the crew in the Autotrainers to train or corrupt them in various ways, and having it be a progressive thing for them. We already have T'Ris at one point, and Nimhe in there, but adding variations to deepen the training / reprogramming of their stimulus/responses to the training. I figure the training device itself is a fixed model that would be a pain to play with or alter, so was thinking more of things that could be adjusted on the girls body model - blindfolds to deprive that sense, or a visor/vr eye covering to project images in, ear coverings in the same way to remove a sense from play or to broadcast a message to them, electrodes taped on to directly cause physical stimuli, etc.

Also, maybe this is a potential Base upgrade, a room addition of a full-on training stable. Like a room with a number of Autotrainers where we could visit and see a row of our bots busy training and maybe other, alternative, training devices in place. Maybe a full-on scaled up bot lab that has features that would have been too big to be ship mounted but allows the MC and Nimhe to research or play with other new ideas to expand the bot portion of the gameplay.
