I'm a bit OCD when it comes to making bots, all got to be the same gen and got to be the same type as well, just can't do mixed gens and types.

Absolutely love this game and think it has a ton of potential. Can't wait to see where it goes.

But, until the saves start to carry over, I think that I'm going to wait before jumping back in. Its quite a bit of busy work at the start each time to redo.

To make peace with both camps, a compromise is in order. My idea is, the bot configurator should take an hour if (and only if) you actually changed a bot in some way (added or removed a part, trained it, repaired, etc.), and regardless of how much you work, the entire process should take an hour (you can build tens of bots this way within an hour, which doesn't sound reasonable, but you can do it anyway). Just looking at bots or their parts should take no time.


Come on, you have your little helper bot, make him manage the storage if you're in the configurator. "Hey, BB, what kinds of military grade arms do we have?" Enough realism for you? Just make the buttons to send "commands" to BB.
I don't have a problem with the bot configurator requiring an hour to enter, that makes sense to me, but as you and others have noted it'd be nice if the hour penalty was only applied if work was actually done. Setting up a variable check for this could be tricky however...

The 'tab' idea in the Bot Configurator I think could easily be implemented and not be obtrusive at all. To be honest, I'd be good if ALL bot functions were moved from the console to the Bot Configurator. Gameplay would go a lot more smoothly IMHO if the console was just repurposed for other things. Perhaps non-bot related lab stuff in the future?

Also, being able to open bot crates from inside the Bot Lab would be another time saver that would reduce a bit of back and forth between the cargo bay and the Bot Lab, but at least there's a justification there (crates are normally stored in the cargo hold, not the bot lab).

And yeah, the helper bot explanation makes perfect sense! I still wonder if said bot has a 'for her pleasure' attachment tucked inside somewhere though...

I haven't played 0.7 yet though (my nose is buried in ReImagined code atm) so I can't speak to any changes in the latest version.

Glad you like the game.

The saves unfortunately will never be compatible across versions (for certain technical reasons, nothing I can do about the process flow issue that causes it).

The game will be finished around mid of 2024 (with monthly releases). So that would be the point in time to check in again for the full experience. Every three releases or so I'll add a new star system.

Otherwise you could sit a few versions out if you do not want to replay or alternatively use the Jump To function I added.

Loved the first, played a bit of this one too, and just needed to say: thanks for bringing the princess back :D In my head cannon, the princess from the tower was so perverted, she made the whole timeline pervy, and this game now plays in the same universe in the future. And that por--i mean movie star is her descendant? Hehe... Well anyway, the princess in the first game said she wanted to try out the wooden horses, but never got to it, maybe this game will rectify that? ;)

She actually tried the wooden horse. Visit her in the dungeon at 15:00 and you shoudl see sth :)

This solved the headache I had with promising a continuation of Princess. I couldn't handle to advance both projects, so I invited Seraphine /Irith in and conveniently had a holodeck :)

Doable with 6AP, Quantum gear and 2-3BFT torps

Hmm, could it be because it's what feel natural ?
In the vast majority of games I've played, and I'm playing since the early 80's, you manage and use your components from the same screen.
It's also less works on the coding and designing side, since you've only one (set of) screen to works on.
You say it feels natural... I disagree it feels forced... I had accept this as differing opinions, but claiming these are mayor facts instead are what's riling me up here.
Well this is neither my first game with management elements nor the first large area storage system I have seen... if anything trying to fit everything in a single place is bound to confuse people more, makeing them miss the tree in the woods and adds a mayor effort to controll and organize your stuff.
And what if one don't want to scrap/sell, because (s)he mostly don't care about the quality and just want to sell a lot of bot quickly ?
Of course, it's not optimized, but I'm relatively confident in the fact that at least half the players are doing it that way. They don't care about optimization, especially on the adult gaming scene.
Not sure how many people do that... given the comments on Patreon and the inofficial challenge to post your most valuable bot as a screenshot that we had here before I would counter that most people DO care.
Their initial intent is to play a game with lewd content, not to challenge themselves or fill an achievement list. And if the bot creation add some depth to the gameplay, to their eyes it also add a lot of grinding, especially due to the way too frequent save compatibility issues.
You always have the palyers that come for the porn and those that come for the game...
I counter your point that you don't really need to bother much with the Bot configurator for the main story... all you need is one illegal bot with a value of 100k+ and 150+ int... all other bot Quests are optional and still can be completed with scrap bots as you mentioned... dealing with bots is a fun Bonus nothing more.
While OhWee and I rarely agree, simply discarding the opinion of someone who have years of experience regarding adult games players expectation and behavior is not really wise.
I wasn't simply discardeing his opinion... if anything that's what you are doing.
I challenged him to give reason for his complaints after checking all the facts... as he discarded several mechanisms of the game simply by not useing them and than claim they were missing.
And what makes you think I don't have years of user experience in Adult games myself, we agree to disagree... that's fine but you'd first have a solid argument before starting a discussion.

Keeping an eye on the dev's fondness for grind, if Princess in the Tower was anything to go by, along with complex mini game. I still think they should have done another fantasy game, maybe PIT2, but sci fi seems to be having it's surge in interest again, but hopefully this is a passing phase in general.

I disagree. If you make another fantasy game, many people will complain that the first one was better, or you changed too many or too little things, and so on.
Moving to a simple sci-fi with only some characters is a better idea.

I wouldn't call Sci-Fi simple... but I agree that chengeing the genre is the easiest way to make people look at the game from a fresh perspective instead of a sequel or remake
