On a different note, anyone know where to pick up the P shells used in the bot lab for Nihme. I got the L shells from one of the frog ships, but no dice yet. Just bad RNG?
I don't remember if those even drop in Arellarti. P shells frequently appear in bot containers from pirate bands in Quthor though.

So I have a slightly minor issue I think. I upgraded T'ris outfit to the max level I believe, however the last version of the outfit is the same as the first one. All the other upgrades worked fine for me as it got skimpier and skimpier but this last version is just the original base artwork. Did I do something wrong?
I seem to remember that the last one can only be accessed if you use the console to increase her points.And it is not yet implemented apparently

If there is one change I hope to see in the next update, it would be possibly swapping the tech levels of Quality Assurance testing and Upgrading Bot Parts. Currently, upgrading bot part generations is unlocked at tech 10 while QA for the bots, and the gallery images, is at 15. Does that seem backwards for anyone else, or do y'all not have trouble raising your tech skill? I'm at day 121 and mine just got to around 12

No you're not doing it wrong, I thought I'd removed that before posting, but I didn't so I'm not going to hide my being wrong.

One of the things I like about this game is that there really is no wrong way. There's no time limit, take as many days to get anywhere you want and there are very few things you can do that you can mess up and not fix without having to go back and make a different decision.

Well, in all fairness I didn't pick up on the part swapping and repair cycle until later on in my game. I will be using the gen 1 core strat from now on, genuinely a good idea. Oh, and I suppose I should just use up the low level bot crates as feeders. Thanks
Yep...you've got a good plan now. I follow a similar plan, I'm level 21 at day 43.

Does anyone have a good feel for what's worth overclocking and what's just going to burn through parts without particular benefit? Three elite cores got me an extra 28 cargo slots with my mkII compressor, but I haven't sensed an actual benefit from anything else... maybe mining, but I'm not doing any mining by this point in my game.

Hmm, overcharging the argus to get a second/third infiltrator for ground combat is pretty useful, also the additional ap when overcharging the engine above 130% is pretty handy.

It seems a bit complicated to try out, seeing how you will have individual choices to get one or the other.
I usually cloak on my last movement, so for 6 turns I expect no return fire, but yes, the swarm mines are an issue as they can't be killed by the AoE of the Nova cannon, so some fire has to be diverted.
Heavy torpedo usage is encouraged. I just wonder if killing faster would help more, or if I just shouldn't bother and load more torpedoes. I sure could afford them, assuming anyone's selling.
Thoughts for another day, I guess.
Fair warning, that 6 cloaks you're talking about isn't intentional. It's supposed to be 1 cloak per 3 cloak modules, not 1 per 1. YV has already said that will be nerfed/returned to normal in the next patch, so don't get used to it.

...huh. I didn't even think about the engine, more AP would be amazing. I'm so basic, my first thoughts on what to overcharge was my guns and cargo compressor.

Regarding ground combat, I actually prefer the Protector to the Infiltrator. The Infiltrator's Terrify attack can do damage, but it can also cause the enemy to run away, preventing you from getting a gear drop and XP.

Huh. Yeah, I'm gonna have to support the other poster there. I'm also stuck at Nimhe SLU 14, and I have both Nimhe Sex scenes in my gallery.

Man... these Krell... aren't they suppose to be immobile during my turn? They send seeker mines constantly and move during my turn. Then when its their turn I'm frozen and they pound me with lasers and more seekers. I get the strategy mostly, group them and use AOE, use cover to make them approach from a certain way, but it just seems extremely thin and mostly based on luck. And its gonna get worse too isn't it... not sure my heart will endure. Need to make out that last will and testament while I still can I guess.

Not giving up just yet... but my mind can only imagine the next area's surprises. Not really a hardcore gamer I guess.

If there is only one Krell lasher left you can do the standard hide behind rock on 1AP and use T to end turn strategy, with more enemies you may want to use your torpedoes first.

Also once you get the cloak shield it becomes a lot easier, you are already pretty close, make sure to do the Ylyee's quest - she dances at 15.00 in the bar in the first system station and after that go Krell system and do the biolab quest. With the cloak ability you can simply shoot until 1AP left and cloak to recover ap, effectively stripping them of their turn.

Extra sex angle for Nimhe only gives 14 SLU. The only way to get 15 in the current public version is to start on day 85 or later, but not on 135.

Tbh, cargo compressor seems the least useful to me, never have much storage issues after the early game (probably because I stop mining after I get the achievement unless I need a specific resource...)

I personally prefer infiltrators, because they can heal/repair the terminal during their first action, which at least in the current version is pretty helpful because they never attack anything else.

Changes to 1.40 are massive so it might be worth doing new replay now. 1.50 introduced the ending to the story.

I am not sure how many DLC additions I will still make, at least one though (RPG System with Away Missions) and one to wrap up loose ends...
Noooo, please expand the game further! It has so many potential. The base is perfect for more sex scenes, toy use, etc. I would be delighted to see more sprites of the crew doing things. More uses for the bots, more sex scenes, that is what most of the players dream about for this game. I am sure many people feel and think like me.
This game is soo good, it deserves more content.

I decided to add the RPG module and in extension away missions to SJX I, so that's the reason it will be extended a bit.
In 2026 I'll probably go for a small game (idle sim type, godot) for a change as I added already a lot of stuff to SJX I Extended that I had planned for SJX II originally
Ohh!!! SJX2 is definitely on my watchlist then. I'd support you if you said you wanted to just tie up any loose ends on SJX 1 and move on. Would you be able to divulge any plans about it or do you want to keep that under wraps for now (ie, will we see returning characters or is it a brand new story?)

Easy peasy strategy tip (same as the one above...):
When you have 1 turn left, move behind a rock so you are cobvered from the Krell _and then_ actively end your turn or do it taking out any near seekers. That way the krell cannot touch you. Once it's their turn and they get you with line of sight you're toast.
Plate your ship, so you can ignore seekers for a while too.

Besides, Lateron in the Krell System you will get a cloaking shield from the vorons so fear not :)

I added many things from SJX II plans into SJX I versions after V2.0 I think. In any case two more episodes are decided already (roughly 3-monthly cycles).
After that I'll guess I'd put it up for vote on Patreon and SubStar. I have the feeling that once I pause the game to make something else (i.e. my idle sim in godot), I won't resume Renpy SJX thereafter so the ending decision needs to be thought out well...
