So what kind of job do you have where you get paid to play porn games at work? Night shift security guard, or are you being paid to review porn games? How’s that pay by the way? Anyway enough negativity about this game, there’s plenty of games I played that butcher the English language. I almost have to try and translate sentences while playing, but that doesn’t make me go to that games thread & blast the dev for it. Just move on and play something else.
Also I’m curious to hear what porn games you do like
I actually don't get paid to review these games, I just have a lot of downtime at my job. I work in IT &, as any seasoned sys admin or network admin will tell you, You can tell how good someone is at their job in this industry by how much idle time they have. Typically if they don't have a lot of work to do, that's a good thing because that means that the work they do is keeping the system running nice & smooth. If they are constantly working, that's how you know they are lousy at their job because that means the system isn't very well implemented or maintained. Think of it like a car. The less maintenance it needs, the better overall quality it is. As a result, I have a lot of downtime.
As for the kinds of games I like to play, Well, ideally I'd rather be playing something like Borderlands 3, but that game requires too much constant attention to work & play at the same time, So I prefer more story driven games like VNs, as they don't require much interaction besides click & read. Great for multitasking. As for my preference in porn games, TBH, the reason why I play a lot of them is because that's where the volume of production is. If I had my druthers, I'd be playing games like those produced by Freebird games like "To the Moon" or "Finding Paradise", which while lacking in gameplay, are basically RPGM games & don't have any combat or fap appeal, they have AMAZING stories, characters & fantastic writing. So to answer your question, I like any game, porn or non porn alike, as long as it has good writing & compelling characters. Sadly, those games are in pretty short supply, especially quality ones. For example, I've played Life is Strange & if you think my feedback on this game was scathing, Man oh man. I didn't pull any punches on that one, especially since the story was the focus of the game & it didn't have the "it's a porn game" thing to fall back on.
That's why I'm so vocal about the quality of writing. For me, it's the 1 absolute must have element to a good story. & to be more specific, Good characters. If you nail down the character construction & the character interactions, (with each other & their environment), If that is nailed down right, that can forgive a lot of literary sins for the rest of the story. I know I came down pretty harsh on this game, (at least enough for the mods to come in & gut my posts), & if the creator just wants a bunch of 2 dimensional cliched tropes to act as the vehicle for fap material, then that's fine. But if he cares about the quality of his story, Sometimes when it's written how it currently is, the best feedback to give is to be brutally honest. Maybe it might be enough for him to do some research on how to write better & his future projects would hopefully reflect that.
