sometimes i feel like i could create a "making games for dummies" guide from witnessing all these developers doing their thing, and i don't even know how to develop a game myself. is it so hard to focus on one thing at a time? like i know the appeal is great "h-how about we make one game oabout our characters with spooky spin-off versions of horror characters, a-and then one for furries!"

but can we please finish one version before we make alpha versions of other games? it really sometimes feels like some devs are like toddlers, they can take and play with the toys all day, but never seem able to put them back. i enjoy this game from what it is, but, stuck on the sisters side-quest for the entire past year now? really?

some devs need someone that gives them a kick in the butt to focus on whats important, the deadlines huge companies put out are just as annoying, and throttle the quality, but it forces devs to finish their stuff at least and forces them not to dawdle on side-stuff.

they are gonna end up like yandere sim dev, where he milked his supporters without fixing the damn game and ultimately people stopped paying. Given that we are dealing with porn and dudes be horny it may take longer for that to happen, but eventually people will get tired of waiting. Its just funny that they are on the coming soon section of steam despite the game not even being near finished.

After the source dries up, launch it on Steam to get as much money as possible.

spamming multiple versions like this instead of content for the main one is bad news
it means milking people hard for profit only

Yup, this is a good reason why games like Star Citizen and Beyond Good & Evil 2 are never being finished.

what the fuck. :ROFLMAO: Do they think they're final fantasy with all these fucking spinoff games? Like this is insane, didn't they only have a few developers on the team? I'm genuinely starting to question if this is just a Patreon sub farm. And like, even if the spinoffs don't take away from the development of the main game like the devs say (they definitely do), isn't this just taking advantage of the patrons who have been desperately waiting for years for the main game to release, just to find out the devs are dropping multiple spinoffs which are inferior in both quality and concept, and are taking away from the main game. I mean we're literally getting tiny ass updates maybe once a month if we're lucky, and they've had spoiler art from years ago which has yet to be implemented, and the main story is far from being complete, hell I'd say they have less than 10% of the story done even after almost 4 years of development.
Everything points at the main story being the 3 girls of the Helsing household (Rory, Anne and Missy), so it's prolly closer to 50% when they finish Anne's stuff it'lls be closer to 60%.

those other games will probably be using the absurdly huge number of planned characters they never used on SML, since there were plenty that fit the themes described, there were fantasy monster girls, scps, school girls and teachers, and the farm animals, they'll probably use the same framework they're using on this but change the story/npcs, maybe some mechanics to fit it, the only ones I'm sure will play differently will be spooky milky nightmare and Wallia, since one will be a platformer the other will prolly just be where's wally but you get sex scenes when you find her, the only one I can't imagine where it's going is spooky milky daylight, unless it's something like 2d dead by daylight but the killers are hot ladies and you gotta escape from their labyrinth, which would be a pretty neat game.

So yeah the ''spooky milk life will actually be super expansive'' theory I had is gone, I'm pretty sure they'll finish this game with Missy's story being the last big quest, and then focus on making then next games, since we're already starting to look into information about MC's father, Missy's questline will probably solve whatever Annes questline sets up;
But I still keep my prediction that the final boss of Anne's questline will be the grim reaper, and that Missy's quest will probably have something to do with the Church, which might be the 3rd dungeon, and the final boss of the game might be some demon lady that is responsible for the women of the city being so busty.

I don't doubt they're dragging stuff so they can cash in more money, but whatever tbh, I don't pay them for anything so it's not my place to complain, I just really wish they made the Huggy Wuggy boss a thing in the toy dungeon the boss is basically ready they even have the sex animations prepared, I hope they didn't just axed the idea for copyright issues, and maybe added slanderwoman already, could be a neat encounter in the cemetery and/or park.

I'll never understand, but why the hell don't they just turn all those projects into one game? Honestly, it would be an amazing idea and would become one of the best hentai games, like Fap Nights on frenni. But no, they decide to take the hard way and get into projects that they can't even finish. Like Spooky Milk Farm
I agree with that, if they concentrated all of those into Spooky Milk Life and instead of having a ''main story'' you had a big expansive game with different ''cores'' (which would be the bigger questlines that alter stuff in the world) where you can interact with them on whichever order you like, or make more use of the calendar system like maybe have Missy take the family on a trip and you have a limited time to do stuff in a map you only get access every now and then, or have each location carry it's own main quest and use that to give more depth to each place in the map, would make for a much more compelling game, but that takes a lot of planning and they clearly are having too much problem trying to make stuff scale properly with that simplistic combat system, feels bad.

Honestly a very cool idea for a game, the only good games I remember having that sort of gameplay are Robolife-Days with Aino and summer memories with the calander system affecting the schedule the girls and the limited time. But I think the game is too expanisve right now to give a limited timer on, unless that time is like three years, this game would need to be compressed to fit that narrative. Especially since things like the santa events are easily missable. However events within the certain dates and time is a cool idea, hopefully it will get expanded on because right now the calander is just there to tell the date. Although it's still unlikely to happen in a timely manner unfortunately. I think the game will do something similar to what you mentioned with the 'cores' but without any major impact with the world. Many of the characters are just parodies of other people shows and media which makes it hard to make a difference without changing the theme of the world.

Unfortunately, much like many games before it, this game suffers from a lot of ambition with unrealistic goals and too many distractions. I feel like this game should have just focused on the main story first before adding more and more stuff and making more spin-offs. There are way too many side characters and events that are being added, they keep on adding things into the pot without caring about the stuff already inside of the game. It took almost a year for any update on the main story before. And although the game is much more expanisve, all the ideas are not really all that developed. This game is a cesspool of ideas and the begginnings of ideas made into one game. And I think the best thing moving forward is just to stop putting more new stuff into the game and develop whats already there. This game suffers from too wide of a vision and too little focus.
