Now that "everyone" is complaining. How do game devs maintain patreons engage and sub on monthly basis when they take like 4-5 months for one update with some content added? I've thought about subscribing to every other dev but the investment return never seems worth it. Genuine question. I won't complain about timeline cuz I wouldn't know the first thing about making a game.

Patreon/substar updates are usually every 4 days, often progress updates but also unique renders of some character here and there, holiday themed renders and extras for high tiers. Non-lore breaking ingame eastereggs / side characters added for long term highest tier supporters. I never subbed to any other dev but I think this game is more frequent on patreon stuff than most. Also discord community. But interest will naturally vary. Originally its about supporting the dev so they can make the game full time to begin with, not about continous engagement. But yea it sucks that it takes several years to make a game.

I can't vouch for files here, but if you download the apk from my website, and the problem still persists, it's false positive!

I'm not planning on doing that, correct! That said, I have been gradually reworking the old R1-R3 stuff to the current standard for a while now; slowly enough to not further hurt the development speed. Once most of the early/old hardware stuff is reworked, I plan to cease all rework action, never to return to the old content, not even after animations are a thing. There will be enough new stuff for that.

Afraid not, since Steam stopped accepting early access smut games during the last censorship wave. I will be talking about it more in detail in the Anniversary post (sometime after the update is out), but tl;dr is basically that it will most likely come after Part 1 is done (R11).

As Saky mentioned, when not sprinting towards the release like now, I usually post extra content/screenshots/teasers/in-dev logs every four days, each with at least four extra renders to keep everyone in the loop/to earn my pay. There are more benefits, especially for higher tiers.
Still, while I can't obviously speak for everyone, I would say most of the people 1) support simply because it is the best way to make sure the game gets done, and 2) see it as a long-term investment. What do I mean by that? For example, would there be SP without all the generous supporters? Yes, I would say so, since I REALLY enjoy working on it. However, it would look very differently, and it would be a lot, LOT shorter, too. The quality would be a lot lower, as well.
It's because of the generous supporters that I can do this full-time, I can get the hardware I need, and I can spend days/weeks/months learning new stuff and improving what we have. The picture on the left is what I did earlier without this support; the picture on the right is what I could do because of all the support the game gets. I think most long-term supporters (thank you!) understand this:

I'm still trying to figure out if the girls who are highlighted in a separate category in the gallery will all offer the opportunity to get a route and reach some kind of romantic ending? Or is there a clear list of characters with this privilege, and the rest are just extras and side entanglements, since as I recall, even choosing a specific character doesn't cut us off from spicy adventures with others? It's just obvious that at some point we'll leave the station and hit the road, but will Markala or Ginny join us? And will the cast of possible routes for the hero be expanded if everything is still uncertain?

Maybe also give gog.com a shot as well.

They have a program called Dreamlist
You must be registered to see the links
where you can make people vote for your VN. It still takes pretty long from what I hear but gog would open up the German market for you. The complete Steam NSFW catalogue is banned here but gog did not yet do that and is also a lot easier to use with a VPN than Steam.

Will the next update that is released have any content from the main story, even if only a little? I know there must be content for other areas of the game besides the main story, but as someone who really enjoys the SP story, this update seems like it will be a "filler episode" to me.

I doubt it... I mean, we just now finished first main story arc: joined Despina crew. So I guess next content will introduce us more side characters and station parts (cause let's be honest we barely explored it). If roadmap still actual, the next really main story content will be in R8.5 in Ginny update, Void mentioned what some parts of main plot will be in next updates, but a little parts, especially in R7...

According to earlier progress reports R7 will be mostly smut focused and not story focused

I appreciate the feedback. I assume it gets hard sometimes as I see some "devs" either abandoning games or stalling as much as possible to milk subs aswell.
