why is the tag animated in here?
any animations in the new version?
No, it's planned content, although i don't know when it'll be implemented. There are conceptsin the patreon gallery.

On the subject of the Black MC, it's never bothered me and actually refreshing to see something different in visual media. However i agree it has probably hampered support for the game, but i feel people are missing out because of that.

And hilariously have you seen 98% of WHITE male MC's in games on this site?

The only place where discussion about character skin makes sense in adult game is lighting.

It is more difficult to do lightning well with darker skinned character. Takes more skill to get something that looks good and not mess up a contrast.

.

Personally, I'm more bothered that female lead has no choice for male slave, making main female character pretty much locked to bi role. Actually it's more like "bi-curious lesbian", due to lack of encounters with male partners.

If I have the chance to redo the earlier episodes that's one of the things I want to change.

@drmaddoc47 I feel that the main page needs an update in terms of pics since it probably hasn't been updated since the thread started, especially an Episode 7 pic during the mission.

I am perfectly happy with playing a black guy. And I wouldn't mind an alien either especially when the game is as well written as this one. Maybe you just need to look elsewhere.
What he needs is brain surgery.

That I can't do much about, not my thread (I wasn't made aware of F95 until only last year)
I'm sure if you message one of the mods/uploaders they can update the thread or allow you to make changes. Seems UncleVT is updating at the minute.

Up to you though, i feel that it will help especially since you've got better and updated the models. Maybe even create/seek fan sigs since this site is one of the largest portals now and the game seems to have more interest at the minute.

One of the dumbest things a porn dev can do is make any female character unobtainable. 99% of your audience is male, why would Inanna's devs make Samantha a lesbian. Read your audience devs, don't be teases.

It's more understandable to have this criticism than it was the "why is the main character black" critique earlier in this thread, but the answer is the same. They were written that way.

As the game started development as a sci-fi game with adult content, I had to make a decision whether to make every character player-sexual. I decided that most people were going to be bi-sexual and therefore player-sexual, but others were not. Ashe, Armin, Nali, and Alexandra were heterosexual, Adam and Samantha were homosexual.

Is this going to change? Possibly, but only for some characters. For Ashe, there has been a consistent and vocal fan push to begin to introduce some boundary breaking for her. That said, even in the case of overwhelming pressure, it's not going to be an instantaneous thing, nor is it going to be an easy route. Character comes before adult scenes after all.

I understand the critique, but I didn't endeavor to make a game where everyone was available to every PC. I know that leads to some frustration, and likely in my next game universe things might be a tiny bit different or more fluid. For this one though, I have no intention of shifting everyone to player sexual for the sake of convenience this far into the story.

Full stop right there. Player-sexual is absolutely the standard and to play it off as "I just wrote it that way" is not a defense, it's an admission of sub-par quality writing. Player sexual characters is industry standard for a reason, divorcing your writing from that standard isn't unique, it's regressive. At the very least deciding to visit a character you can't romance shouldn't take up a time-slot.

Plenty of games have had gay characters come around to the main character with great success.
In four elements trainer, the gay captain of the guard starts of disliking sex with a man, but grows to enjoy it.
In Big Brother, the sister's lesbian friend agrees to trade sex for weed.

I understand the critique, but I didn't endeavor to make a game where everyone was available to every PC.
As far as I'm concerned this is the smoking gun. Most creators make their games 50% for them 50% for their audience, but clearly you're making the game much more for yourself then for the people who might enjoy it. IF that changes, I'll repledge, until then I'm done with this one lads.

Player sexual characters is industry standard for a reason, divorcing your writing from that standard isn't unique, it's regressive.
It's also industry standard to have a white character for the PC. It's also industry standard to have characters who are all there for the player to bang. To go against those norms is not regressive, or progressive, it's just different. How it is percieved in the end I don't know, neither do you.

A character who is player sexual is a character who is lacking depth in a very important part of their existence. A character can be bisexual, but having them swap back and forth to fit the player makes any romance with them feel trite in my opinion. For instance, Nikka was always bisexual, and was always available, however that was a conscious choice by me to inform aspects of her character. There's also Kani, who was always going to be bi-sexual, however her initial discomfort with being with a man, after her past, gives her just a tiny bit more depth than just having her completely open and available. Case in point, your next comment:

Plenty of games have had gay characters come around to the main character with great success.
In four elements trainer, the gay captain of the guard starts of disliking sex with a man, but grows to enjoy it.
In Big Brother, the sister's lesbian friend agrees to trade sex for weed.
Which means they were not player sexual at the start if I read that right. They change in the plot for their own reasons (or in some cases through blackmail/extortion/etc.), that's character growth to a degree. I am not opposed to changing a character if players ask for it and if it makes sense for the character.

As far as I'm concerned this is the smoking gun. Most creators make their games 50% for them 50% for their audience, but clearly you're making the game much more for yourself then for the people who might enjoy it. IF that changes, I'll repledge, until then I'm done with this one lads.
I said Ashe was going to change from Heterosexual to Bisexual due to a lot of demand and pressure from the audience, but in the case of that specific character, she has strong cultural taboos that heavily influence the 'norm'. Her identifying as heterosexual but being more bi-seuxal under the surface is not something conclusively precluded in the game yet. Breaking those taboos are much more interesting and a simpler prospect than suddenly having Samantha fancy a guy when she has always had that option and has never taken it. If it doesn't make sense for the character, it doesn't make sense, and changing that on a whim, with no rationalization at all on behalf of the character, is not good writing.

I'm sorry that this game is not meetings your expectations, but it does meet the expectations of others. There is more than one audience type out there, and for me to claim that I can please everyone is to lie. My next game will likely be different, but I do not know what shape that may take yet. We'll have to see. I welcome opinions on it when the time comes, just as I do welcome hearing opinions on Starship Inanna now. Thank you for sharing yours, even if we do happen to disagree on this.
