Hmmm don't know what to do then as played for a few hours and didn't autosave, is there any known issues for the Mac version or can anyone think of a fix...please?

I just wish my station wasn't so damn big. I've about had it trying to fix the ghost fleet bug without restarting and I'm getting set to start over. I was going to draw a generalized map to preserve the layout and room sizes for future games, I really like the way this one turned out, but I can't zoom out far enough. Honestly, it really surprised me that I even came up with the layout I did. EDIT: Took forever, but I noted every little placement detail of my station. I think I'm safe to start over without losing this layout. Also, I finally figured out why I got war declared by Raza so early that I was unprepared, her war trigger is money and probably also hitting specific events beforehand. I usually edit into my saves a ridiculous amount of money from the very start so that I can do as much as possible as quickly as possible and get my military to an unstoppable size. Not enough to trigger her declaration immediately, that's suicide, but enough to make it so I didn't have all the ships that are research locked done and built when she did. I was so focused on panicking that I didn't look at my money and jammed as many slaves on research as I could get without lagging my weak backup PC.

Pic is from start of game? If so im not sure but did you build laboraty and buy research tables there?

Hi, most likely your resolution is too low, which can cause some problems with the UI (and in this case, the research tree too)
If possible, try a higher resolution for the game and see if that helps!

When I boot the game up it only offers me one resolution option. (1024 X 768)
Without editing the files, something I don't know how to do, I think I'm out of luck.

You most likely are indeed out of luck, as I thought looking at the screenshot rather than resolution it may be your aspect ratio that's causing the problem, the 4:3 ratio is something you see less and less as it loses popularity to 16:9.When I boot the game up it only offers me one resolution option. (1024 X 768)

If Daulas's idea above doesn't work it's likely the only other choice would be outright getting a new screen (which is far too much if this one porn game is the only thing you're actually having issues with)

Alternatively, if really needed, you can use this quick modification to "cheat in" the research by inspecting yourself.
Sadly, i'm not sure if it's possible to start a research with events like these, so it's all i can offer you as an alternative then.
Edit: Forgot to say how to use it:
Place it into Stationmaster_Data\StreamingAssets\Text\
But be sure to make a backup of the original file beforehand!

By cheat in, do you mean to give the user the ability to use it instantly or to allow the user to research it? I'm assuming the first, but figured I'd ask. It would really help me get back on my feet in a new game after the ghost fleet bug got me while conquering Black Star.

Well, literally, it'd allow you to "instantly have" the research you choose, so no price (no waiting time or similar), but it is cheating, so using it could make it boring
Also, the researches available to choose need you to have the required researches before it (like in the research tree)

Meh, the real fun for me is totally obliterating the other factions and making their leaders my playthings. If it means cheating to get there without incident, so be it.

Just inspect yourself (the yellow peson icon when zooming out, walking around)
then you'll have a button with "Get research" and this one you can use
