yk whats annoying. games that offer such control on subjects are so hard to find. i particularly don't mind the terrible graphics or god forsaken memory leaks. but i really do want content that gives the illusion of mc in control from all aspects. is there nothing that offers this and extremes as well?

Use cheat engine for money.
For research build research room and buy slaves with high intelligence at least a few for start and build school and not damaged in head slaves to learn, they will learn fast and you can futher plae them for research, for every researcher you need one research desk.
Planets not for income, mostly for other events, you mostly spend money on your planets.
If you know which event what gives you you can grind money through events fast.
P.S. Do not use cheats in mod collection in OP it is bugged and can lead in - money very fast.

i used this cheat mod to change slave stats, i want to change MY stats, influence, reputation, research points
Do what you want, but as i said if you use it with cheat money you can break your save with minus money.
There is no need even to cheat in this game, problem on the start it is lack of research pointsto open buildings and tech and thiscan be easy fixed if you know what you need to do.
There is also no need for big money on ly if spend on planets.
There is some quest arc with one of this kind idr which one, so leave at least one.
You can stop other slave recieve fear and save them from mind broke and insane.
But you can't cure this if they already has it. Maybe through only some events it may be possible.

Just played again yesterday. I'm not sure what triggers it but an event will eventually pop up where a doctor offers to "fix" your insane slaves. It replaces the insane with corrupted but they can become obedient again and be used just like any other slave. As for removing mind broken or corrupted becoming devoted seems to replace those statuses on the slave viewer menu but that could be a glich.

Game is not finished normally, so many mechanics works strange.
Well if you check version of update you will find strange things) He rushed game to finish, to only have completed tag.i hope second game is better in that regard
To even have chance to get money via second game.
In first game absolutely all animations are broken, he just stick completed tag to avoid fixing it and start second game, and sadly i don't see to much difference with second game(Not checked all animations still in second game to tell difference).
Hope is all we got.

Not that I know of, but the game launched even on a 2013's laptop.
Do you have enough RAM? 8 is barely enough I guess (unless you borked the pagefile by ancient guides, then +4 minimum).

Game has a memory leak. Can't just let it run. Save close it out and open it back up. If you want to clear out old saves it helps also.
