VN Ren'Py Abandoned Stormside [v0.23.1.4] [Atemsiel]

Just got to this one and it's kind of the opposite of what I was expecting. It's well written, got some amazing branching (I love all the different ways Akemi can react to how you treat Hikari for example even if my favourite trick of not punishing Hikari because I'm not a monster but pretending I will to mess with Akemi isn't really represented.) It's just kind of hard to get to the spicy stuff. None of the characters really do anything seriously bad to justify anything you have to do to them. There's some kind of wiggle room for Sasha on one of the paths but the reasons for collaring Riley are completely insane. As for Hikari's punishments I can't stomach them even accessing them from the gallery as a What If?

Agreed. I've said this a few times but "corruption" should be a milder path, more lust-focused than blackmail-focused to allow for that path that is less abusive towards the girl and would leave way more room for lewd content

I only like the romance route, my interest in the punishment part is more in the direction of preventing it from happening.

First of all, why is it so heavy? It's the first Ren'Py game I've found that give sme trouble with Alt + Tab. Needs some serious optmization. It's eating up almost 1 Gb of RAM!!

Cassie's BJ scene had some frame slowness, as if the video was too heavy. And that's how far I've played.
Game has an interesting - if somewhat ludicrous - premise. I certainly want to play more to see how far it goes!

Now that I've played through the entire game (there's SO much stuff!), I can say it's a great one. Again, my main gripe is with the lack of optimization - the only animation I really enjoyed was Cassie's during the physical test (why is her scene not in the gallery, btw?)

This and Stray Incubus are like two of the most underrated AVNs. Barely anyone I see ever talks about it, but both are so good. I try to tell everyone to play them.

The Dad seems like a chill character. I hope he gets more appearances.

Still having trouble? I played this a while ago - it is based on 7.5.3? Try downloading renpy 7.6.3 sdk (which has MMX enabled again), put game folder inside, start renpy.exe. (O/c do so at ur own peril - make a backup of your current saves / persistent & stick to single version going forward.) Probably I ran it under 7.6.3 as well (w/o issues). And/or try compressed?

Hello. I just recently discovered this game and I like it a lot. I like that there is a different route for each girl and you are not force into a relationship or harem. I have 2 questions.
- How often this game got update ? Scheduled?
- Is this game initially designed with sandbox in mind but then the developer change their mind? Became from all the thing I see. Phone, Stats system, the way you "transitions from one location to the next" after a scene. It all feels like its being designed for sandbox gameplay loops. It that was truly the case then I'm glad cuz I hate sandbox in AVN.

As far as I know it's always been a VN and I don't think it was ever intended to be a sandbox. There's only one part that's sandbox, which is the ghost hunt, but it can be skipped or played, if I'm not mistaken, as a VN.
