Both of these posts address music so I'll just say I wouldn't half-ass the music. I feel like it should compliment the game or just be nonexistent BB style. I have no intention of just throwing music in for no other reason than to check the "music" box and say it has music. My problem is that I would legit want a soundtrack rather than goofy music. So I would either have to steal a bunch of music and risk getting suded, write my own soundtract and try and figure out how to produce it, or pay someone to write a soundtrack and try and convince them of what my vision is without raping their creativity as an artist. #Dilemas. However, it's something I think about from time to time. Especially during key moments...one in particular that I wanted music during a scene I have planned for v0.12 but that will be much later in the polishing phase--if I ever get to it.I'm thinking you might be disappointed. I will be very bad as critic, coz of the fact that I already love the characters and their stories. I don't see how will it be possible to be objective on this.
Yeah, that is what I said, I feel like the story suffered to get fast to nudity. But then again, stories in adult games are virtually non-existent, and even this amount of storytelling if it stays as it is, is already much, much, much more than expected. Take Milfy City for example, awesome start aaaaaand here we go, do this twice, find this, click that aaaand BINGO. Here's the money shot!
On another note, this is an adult game, it is supposed to get to nudity. Even for a bloke like me, there are moments of:" Oh for the fuck sake kiss him already". Can't tell you how relieved I was that after 4 chapters there was a hug, a meaningful one, without the choice to squeeze the ass/ bite the neck like in other games.
Unfortunately I still didn't get the time to play this again, to mess with the choices, and to see all the outcomes, but I will be doing it after the weekend.
There is absolutely no advice or complaint, that I could address to you. Fantastic work so far, and I am sure that you will deliver a fantastic story with as many Jupiter-hangers as humanly possible
Edit: PS. Oh, about the music and voices, if you do decide to add it, please don't half-ass it, there is nothing worse than retarded music during a meaningful conversation. Usually, it's better to leave something out if you're adding it just for the sake of having it in the game. Just my 2 cents
So this is a retarded example coming off @Krokodil comment about "just kiss him already." So I used to watch the American version of The Office and felt the same way with the relationship between Jim and Pam. I know--stupid example but whatever. For season after season there was this awkward relationship tension and I found myself seriously longing for those two to just get together. However, when I thought about it--I liked that tension because it was real. In the real world, it's easy to see people belong together when you're the external party. But people have feelings, apprehensions, and fears--relationships are hard and rejections sucks. So sometimes things move slower. Very unlike the porn games you reference. I agree with you on Milfy City. I was stoked how that started and even considered starting my game originally in a therapist office-- (hence the 1st person narrative) but ended up changing my mind. Then within seconds, there's dicks out and jizz is flying. Yet another reason I've stuck to my vision for this. I wanted something different and I figured why the fuck can't porn games have a plot? Well, I'll be frankly honest here, too. Another big reason I went the adult route was because I've never done this before. If the plot is bad--I figured the porn community would be more forgiving.
