Thought I'd throw my two scents in here:
1) Regardless of your selected attributes and skills selected at the beginning of the game, it takes anywhere from 1 to 2 game weeks to read 1 skill book received at the library. Some higher skilled books will take up to 3 weeks to read depending on your Intelligence selected at the beginning. Although you should always select Intelligence as your 1st or 2nd choice as it helps in other ways in the game.
2) This dev uses a swapping and extended memory for the game due to the sheer number of pics and graphics in the game. None of it is permanently written to your hard drives. Once you exit the game, your swap file is emptied and memory released. The longer you play in game months, the higher your swapping and cache file is. I recommend saving then exiting the game often as the swapping does in fact effect system performance.
3) Artiour is correct in that no matter what activity you are doing, you will receive 'experience' from doing that activity. I.E., sex receives appropriate experience. Working as a Cook, or bartending, doing anything club related gives experience in that skill. Training your employees gives you experience as well. Reading any book also give you Intelligence experience.
4) Most of the books are somewhat easy to determine what skill they belong to by the title. At least for me. Only the Business and Service related books seem confusing as to the skill they provide but through playing, you learn them.
This is my favorite game in F95 right now. Very addictive and fun as the author has taken his time with the mechanics of relationships, sex, and other attributes to be able to determine game play.
Right now in my opinion, the only shortcomings are:
1 - Polyamory (doesn't work at all) Even if you have this attribute, none of the NPC's in the game care as if you enter a relationship with another NPC that has Polyamory as well, they will still give you ultimatums to leave the other NPC.
2 - When staying loyal and celibate to your GF, you will take an 'Unfaithful Hit' if you go out on any date. Even if you do not do anything on that date.(At end of date you leave. No kissing or hugging) This needs to be corrected by the Developer.
3 - If you want to be together with a single person, do not respond to any flirts, date requests, or being flashed cause if you do you'll get hit with an Is Unfaithful as well. This needs to be corrected by the Dev as well. Test should be when you go out on a Date, do you kiss and take it further while being involved with another. Not just because you went out. In real life, friends go out with other people without being labeled as a cheater or unfaithful just because they went out with a friend.
I have some other short falls, but this is already too long for me to type out.
