Nope. Only ones out are list in the "out" area under the jail and farm. I actually have a spreadsheet of what I was doing, but wasn't tracking them until I took them outta jail so I'm not sure which one is missing or why the jail reads 8/8 when only 7 are showing.

In v1.0a, slaves that are listed as "Away" for resting, recovering from laboratory operations, or recovering after pregnancy are considered unavailable for work but still occupying space in the mansion. If the slaves are away for any other reason, then their sleeping area will be considered vacant; though they will return to it if it is open when they get back.

Btw, can a cow be assigned to the farm if it's in jail? Or should I move it first to the communal room?

Slaves can be assigned directly to the farm from anywhere, as they are assigned to the farm as a sleeping area and either cow or hen as their job.

Thanks for the fast responses. I've taken this as an excuse to use everything I've learned so far and start a new game. I'll make sure I track occupants in jail this time and see if there are any further issues.

Probably not, but you CAN make it so your people don't die from defeat. Though I've never done that, I've always set it to death on defeat, so I can't say...

As far as I know there's no cure for the 'mute' trait.

The Regression Potion is used to remove the 'uncivilized' trait. I just give my Jailer the Tamer specialization. Does the same thing and is cheaper in the long run.

Actually, the game has "Mute" as a mental trait, so you just need to "give" them the potion and it will show! I just did it a few hours agow on one of mine......after searching the forums for months, I went looking in the game files and noticed "Mute" was a "mental" trait, NOT a "Physical" trait.....at least in the latest version(1.0a)
