so apparently there are mods for this game and other things how does that work?
Proper modding has been possible for only a few weeks. A few mods are available; you can find them on

. Don't expect anything revolutionary yet. The game has also seen many patches in recent weeks. Mods may work incorrectly due to sloppy mod code, or due to changes in the base game, or due to improper
integration of mod code (due to regex weirdness or whatever).
You'll probably get the most value from
portrait collections. The game allows/expects you to accumulate a considerable number of NPC slaves. It can be tricky to remember all of them them by name alone. If you buy/capture a character with a useful set of attributes and traits, then you should spend a few moments assigning them a distinctive portrait (and/or body picture). If you subsequently decide to train them towards a particular role (such as bodyguard, escort, mage, etc) then you'll (hopefully) be able to recall that decision whenever you glance at the portrait. Doing so is much quicker than manually reviewing their biography and equipment
Of course, if you've captured a disposable slave and you merely intend to imprison them for a few days (in the hope of increasing their obedience and sale price) then you can omit the custom portrait.
Alternatively, you could use

to each character.
