To be fair, words are incredibly cheap, and just because some devs made a promise years ago doesn't mean they'll stick to it - just look at Legend of Krystal (and all the other Patreon milkers).If only there was some kind of frequently asked question about their films…oh yeah

You're kind of answering your own concern there. They don't have a Patreon to milk. The only income they're getting at this point is from the game selling. Which is a good incentive to A) finish it, and B) Plan something else to do once the game is complete, as that income isn't as consistent.
It isn't like Star Citizen, where the devs took in so much money, they have so many incentives to fill, its over bloated the development.

Dark Butterfly didnt have subtitles. They didnt feel the need to add them. So any subs would be fan made.

If memory serves they didn’t bother with 3’s as there isn’t enough spoken dialogue that isn’t just moans and screams to really warrant it. If ya seen enough jap smut, ya pretty much know what common terms spoken mean.

the Goblin scene and the Hitomi being taken by her father scene both have dialogue. More than the traditional pleading. And I kinda also find the lack of subs there disturbing. they made the dialgoue, wouldn't have taken much to add the ability to understand the dialogue. I mean what's the point of adding dialogue at that point?
If you're so disturbed, pay a translator to make subs for you. Plenty of porn translators leave their contact info in their work. Problem solved.

Presumably an SRT was asked for because in addition to being much quicker to download if you have Kunoichi 3 saved, there's already a hardcoded fansub translation floating around to begin with.
The hardcode isn't quite just the original file with subtitles, so if you looking for some kind of pure video experience that's a concern. Though I couldn't tell you what any actual differences are on the viewer end. Someone could "reverse engineer" an SRT by just taking the lines and timing from that hardcoded video file and manually inputting them into a simple text file, but that'd probably take some tedious effort. For now this is what we have.

Yes I'm aware it didn't have subs, which is why I'm asking on here if anyone has some that have made there way to the internets. There is a fan made subtitled version somewhere online but I think they hardcoded the subs into it, which is a shame.

Maybe some faster file hoster for the Subverse stuff? Anon is slow and very sketchy. Mixdrop is just slow. Mega is just unreliable and limited. Everything on FilesFM is down.
