Now that business is out of the way and we can return to our usual update. Next few days I'll be doing final tweaks to make sure I don't have any unexpected launch day wrinkles but otherwise I'm damn happy to get this shit out of my mental bandwidth.

After that we'll be returning to Part Eight animation work, that scene I ended up having to adjust that I mentioned in our last update actually turned out way better than I had anticipated, while I'm still a bit sad about the previous version this new one let me experiment with something almost as fun which did end up working out. Lighting it will be a tad more complicated than usual, but once that's done I'll be moving to the next animation. This one will be ... interesting. I'll be trying a lot of clothing and hair physics for this particular one, more than I've tested out before, really hoping my PC doesn't decide to melt. Maybe I'm being a bit more ambitious than usual this time around, but I have the tools to do it and I really want to keep improving. Anyway I'm rambling now so I'll shut up.

so question guys... i DL the latest version of the game here, but it seems to end with part 6... tho both the walktrough and the change log says there should be a part 7 too.. what have i missed here?

Steam Release Complete

Hooo boy today has not been fun, but even a little battered up I can now say that either a few moments after this posting or at the time of it Unbroken is now on Steam! Huzzah.
Now I do have a caveat I have to get out of the way before I do a victory lap.
In summation I commissioned a personal friend to compose most of the soundtrack for the Steam release even after informing him what kind of game it was he was gung ho. But last night after finally playing a copy he decided to rug pull me last minute and decided to inform me that he "didn't want to be associated with that stuff" So 16 hours out and there that goes. Fun fact Steam really hates when you change a release last minute so welcome to rock and hard place. In the end I decided it was more important to get the damn thing out. Fortunately I have most of a backup soundtrack ready to go and I'll be patching that in over the next few days. I doubt this is a major thing for a lot of folks since Unbroken has been majority silent for most of it's existence, but I did tell people a soundtrack would come with Steam and I think it's important to be transparent so you can make the best decisions on what to do with your funds and if you want to wait until next week when that's patched in feel free.
Anyway enough of the bad news, beyond that kerfuffle The game is ready and waiting for you

Anyway that's enough yapping my brain is fried and I want to not think for a while. I'll have a proper weekly check in on the status of Part 8 on Friday. Quick note with Part 8 as we get closer to that release I want to remind everybody to be sure your save file was saved in either the current Patreon version or the Steam version otherwise they will not transfer properly to Part Eight and I want to make sure you're not having trouble upon release.
Thank you all so much for all the support, the patience and the community, I do want you guys to know how grateful I really am for you guys, telling my little stories was all I ever wanted and you guys gave me the ability to make that dream a reality. It might seem like I'm just saying that but it would take me an eternity to really explain it.

Addendum: I forgot the launch discount I'm a fucking idiot and apologise I'll make the Author one larger to compensate in the future.
