Maybe NTR is limited to that lady doctor ? I can pass on her nasty ass. But if all the ladies have unavoidable NTR then this game will be shit. I do not want to play as a beta cuck loser captain. In addition, if NTR is forced, it means that the developers have deceived the players by promising the option to disable NTR but did not provide it.
This is my hope, too - if the cuck stuff is forced in the game, then 'maybe' it's just limited to certain characters like Lily. And while she's hot as fuck, we can always just avoid those specific characters if those things happen as part of the story.

I haven't been following the development of this game closely. Is romance necessary in this game or is it optional? I've been assuming the game is meant to be monster rape, not a dating/cuck simulator.
You can choose which scenes you want to watch.
If you want ALL ladies in the ship to have a good time with the captain you just need to unlock the right scenes, you can play the entire game without seeing futa or xeno scenes.

The game only has a skip option. The scenes still technically happens. So what happens is that you skip the scene and your waifu's will still end-up pregnant from that alien dog thing if RNG hates you.
I feel like this is an oversimplification, unfortunately. Post #416 covers this in a detailed fashion, I think.
We won't have to 'watch' any of the stuff, I agree, but I do think we're going to 'hear' about it either from our character literally overhearing things happening or from conversations that happen, making the events officially canon. That's what some people are a bit concerned with - my hope is like EvilFairy666 said above, maybe it'll be limited to only certain waifus that do that stuff.

As of right now we know nothing about other "proper characters" but Lily (the doctor) will "hold hands" with the lab-created xenos of hers.
Just keep in mind I am too lazy to go and look for the info right now, I'm pulling this from memory so I might be talking shit.
Doesn't sound too bad, don't even know if that qualifies as NTR, since these monster animal types are often little more than sentient sex toys, and not really sexual "rivals" to be cucked by. It's like they're just pets, that they also fuck and you get to watch. Pretty normal for FOW standards.
